Any Choral Furs?

I'm in a choir for school. I say we are pretty good. ^_^

I love some of the music and think that my teacher is just plain wacky for picking out some songs. XD

So... Any Choral Furs? If so, what is your favorite choral song?
And I’ll be wearing white when I come into your kingdom,
I’m as green as the ring on my little cold finger,
I’ve never known the lovin' of a man,
But it sure felt nice when he was holding my hand.

Well, if you want to pin a certain part of my wonderful musical talents... *inflates his ego*

Nah... I'm just joshing.. but really, Northwestern Troubadors, the school choir I'm in, we won first in State, in SC, and we went to a national invitational competition... I have no idea how we placed though. I think we did pretty poorly though, cause Mrs. Mixon didnt tell us how we placed,(Hah.) even though we rocked out of the two other choirs that were performing that weekend.  '<img'>

Anyhow, I like to sing. Tenor is mah official title, but I can do bass, if there be-eth a need.  Music-wise, we sing a little bit of everything. We do a big show at the end of the year, that's always a big hit around this dinky town... This year it was "The Magical World of Walt-Disney." It featured lots of the classics... but in an earlier part of the show, we did "Graveside" by Kim Sherman, "Lamentations of Jeremiah" by Z. Stroope, "Let Me Fly", and Eric Whitacre's "I Thank You God for this Most Amazing Day."

Fun stuff.

Ahh, choir. Now that brings back some memories. I was in our highschool choir, a couple youth choirs in church, then several old-timey Southern Baptist church choirs in my adult life (strangely enough I'm now a practicing Wiccan, but anywhow). I can sing from tenor all the way up to soprano, or at least I used to be able to. My voice is more limited now due to respiratory problems which arose from exessive cement dust inhalation. I still sing, but I'm not quite up to being in a choir at the moment. Many days just breathing is painful. You just can't sing right when it's like that.
Anyway, my favorite choral piece we did was the song about rainbows (technically about a breakup, but whatever) from The Muppet Movie. I don't remember the title as it was nearly a decade ago when we sang that one in our school choir, and I havn't seen that movie or heard that song in nearly as long.

Back in my Sophomore/Junior years in HS I was.  I couldn't do it my Senior year because I was asked to be the tech aid for the art teacher that year.

My favorite choral piece was "Still, Still, Still", a german christmas song.

Ah, "Rainbow Connection". A good song.

I was in Junior and High School Chorus for 6 years. My best friend and I (from back in those days, I haven't seen her in forever) used to travel to different churches to sing. I performed at my sister's wedding (I was in forth grade ':p' ) and I nearly got to perform with the same girl (from above) on the Jenny Jones Show, but her Dad was a pastor and he wouldn't let her go...:(

I still sing a lot, but only in front of very special people. '<img'>

I really loved Chorus... although I hated the company. >.>

From my 8th grade year I really loved "For the Beauty of the Earth" theres this part which has a key change that goes "For the joy of... Human love" it always makes me cry!  ''

For graduation we performed for parents and the other 8th graders. We sang "You Raise Me Up" and "Music of My Heart".
