God I'm in love with that subgenre. I get really affected by it when I listen to it. To a lot of people it might sound like harsh crap that couldn't even be considered music (but you've probably been listening to Skrillex if you feel that way, haha), but dubstep can do so much and can be really anything it wants to be. Sometimes the harsh, heavy, grimy stuff is just what I need. Other times I just need a steady deep boom from the bass. And sometimes the calm notes and beat from chillstep.

Dubstep is the music of my soul. It beats like my heart and will always be a favorite of mine.

-cough- enough sentiment about dubstep. What do you think about it?

I'm not that familiar with dubstep. But what I've heard so far, I like.

I even like the dubstep remixes of songs that weren't originally dubstep and often prefer them to the original.

I'm feeling the strong need to link you to a playlist or two I've made for a friend, it's a compilation of dubstep (and some non-dubstep). I haven't updated one of them in forever though, and I have new and beautiful stuff.

I'm quite fussy with music, but I have found a couple of dubstep tracks that I like. Not many though.

I've found some truly amazing dubstep and some pretty awful stuff as well. Which songs do you like? Maybe I could show you more? Depends on the kind of stuff you like, though.

I don't really know the first thing about any sort of music, because I hadn't completely acknowledged it's existence until a couple years ago. The first thing about dubstep I learnt was from random message boards, about how a lot of people didn't like whatever it was. At about the same time, I noticed this certain style of music cropping up here and there in my day-to-day media outlets. It was amazing, full of these powerful beats and moving sounds, and it inspired me in a way that few songs ever could.

Turns out, they were one and the same thing. I actually felt quite silly, to begin with

. And yes, I have been made to sit and watch/listen to some stuff by Skrillex. It was kind of hard to listen to...

That all being said, I am kind of annoyed how the word 'remix' means 'dubstep' these days. The music is usually okay, but it... gets kind of old if that's the only genre remixes are. But that's just what I think, which shouldn't really count. Relatively, I still don't listen to music, like, at all.

You truly amazed me. I didn't think life without music was possible, but I guess it is.

Anyway, my favorite dubstep songs are songs in and of themselves. They're not remixes or anything.

Dubstep can be fantastic if I'm in the right mood for it... otherwise not so much.

I'm generally more inclined to listen to goa/psytrance if I'm listening to electronic music anyway. lol

Definitely not nearly as into it as I was a couple of years ago, but some of my favourite producers off the top of my head are Shekel, Borgore, Diplo, DatsiK, and Funtcase. \o/

Skrillex I could take or leave honestly. I can count the songs I legitimately care for by him on a single hand and the rest of his music is generally too generic for me to care much about one way or another... at least half of his material isn't even dubstep proper, anyway. Electro-house with dubstep elements anyway, but hardly dubstep. lol

On that same note, another interesting phenomenon I've noticed lately is psytrance with dubstep influence. Still somewhat rare at this point but definitely a step in the right direction... with the plethora of subgenres psytrance already has it very well might become 'a thing'. Here's hoping it does, haha.

My mate loves dubstep... I am not very knowlegable about it but im sure he will teach me all about it lol I think ive heard a couple songs. But I do love love love music!!!!

I think Skrillex gets a lot of hate for some reason. Yea, he's not really the most original and his songs are pretty repetitive and boring at times, but the name sticks out and that's who people know and love.

Myself, I'm not overly crazy about him tho I'm afraid I'm not quite as educated on who all is really good at the dub-steps.

The best type for me Is the stuff with...all of da WUBZ!! Anything around the " electronic, dubstep, drum and bass " genres. like, the glitch mob, chase and status , knife party , skrillex and many more....

Don't like the stuff where every sentence is disgustingly rude

mainly because It gives the genre a bed reputation.....and it sounds like junk.
