OF WOLF AND MAN BY METALLICA

Off through the new day's mist I run
Off from the new day's mist I have come
I hunt
Therefore I am
Harvest the land
Taking of the fallen lamb
Off through the new day's mist I run
Off from the new day'smist I have come
We shift
Pulsing with the earth
Company we keep
Roaming the land while you sleep
Shape shift
Nose to the wind
Shape shift
Feeling I've been
Move swift
All senses clean
Earth's gift
Back to the meaning of life
Bright is the moon high in starlight
Chill is the air cold as steel tonight
We shift
Call of the wild
Fear in your eyes
It's later than you realized
Shape shift
Nose to the wind
Shape shift
Feeling I've been
Move swift
All senses clean
Earth's gift
Back to the meaning of life
I feel I change
Back to a better day
Hair stands on the back of my neck
In wildness is the preservation of the world
So seek the wolf in thyself
Shape shift
Nose to the wind
Shape shift
Feeling I've been
Move swift
All senses clean
Earth's gift
Back to the meaning of wolf and man

I always feel like howling when I hear that song '<img'>

It's one of my favorite songs.

Err, this is probably a bit off topic (well it fits the subject anyway though the thread seems geared toward a specific song) ...

Long story short:  I started writing a kid's story to UN-demonize the wolf and before I started on the prose (which I only ever wrote a few paragraphs of anyway), I wrote a song about wolves that's meant for kids.  I REALLY WOULD LUVVV IT IF SOMEONE WOULD SET IT TO MUSIC!  Errk, sorry for the shouting. '<img'>

"Have you heard the song of brother wolf?"

Before there were roads, before there were cities,
 He was there.
Before there were guns, before there were bombs,
 He was there.

Have you ever heard his song?
 The song of brother wolf.
Have you ever listened?
To the tale of brother wolf.

Great ages came, great ages passed,
 He was there.
Great love and great care for his family,
 He was there.

Have you heard his song?
 The song of brother wolf.
Have you ever listened?
To the tale of brother wolf.

For his family, more than any other,
 He was there.
For the land, more than any other,
 He was there.

Have you heard his song?
 The song of brother wolf.
Have you ever listened?
To the tale of brother wolf.

We must sing his song, the song of brother wolf,
For he is no longer there.
We must speak of him, to tell his tale,
So we may bring his return.

Did you hear his song?
 The song of brother wolf.
Did you listen?
To the tale of brother wolf.

You can work with us, we can work together,
 To hear his song again.
You can feel his love, you can think of him,
 To hear his tale again.

Would you like to hear his song?
 The song of brother wolf.
Would you like to listen?
To the tale of brother wolf.
