Oh well. ill try to get my friend to burn it. but its doubtful. i dont have the money to buy CDs

SOAD is one of those bands that you either absolutely love or absolutely hate... I've rearely seen any "in betweens".

I for one, love SOAD... I saw themm at Ozzfest 2002 and they were, hands down, the best band there... next to Rob Zombie of course.  I have yet to listen to their new album, but I hope to pick it up when I have more money.

Eh heh... yep. *cough*

Actually, I keep Jet Pilot around because the song is just too bizarre to delete, and Chop Suey I've heard so many times on the radio that I more or less like it. But besides those two songs, I just don't like their sound/style/attitude/whatever you want to call it.

SOAD is alright i like a few of their songs, but some of them are very strange. I don't like the newer stuff too much. I liked most of the old CD though

For the benefit of those of us who aren't up to date on the current music scene, what kind of music do they play? Not everyone follows these things, you know. Are there any legit (not illegal file sharing) sound samples online? I'm primarily into Celtic and Folk, so I tend to lose track of what other people listen to. For that matter I'm so out of the loop that I don't even know who the hottest Celt bands are any more. I don't like being this out of it.
At very least someone PLEASE tell me what music gener they play.

HARDCORE punk. I think; I couldn't describe it as well as an actual fan, but I think that's an accurate characterization. They might not jive with the whole Celtic/folk thing. =; )

I like SOAD... especially because they didn't sell out and make this album full of songs guaranteed to become hits like "Aerials" was. (Yes, Aerials was an awesome song, but so was Chop Suey)... anyway, what I don't like about the new album, and indeed most new albums in the rock/alternative genre, is the huge political overtones.

No, I don't particularly care for the current president or the war that's going on, but it would be nice to turn on the radio and not hear about it in every song that's playing.

woah, every party ive gone to since my school year ended (about 5 days ago....3 1/2 parties) has played B.Y.O.B
