What do you think about the Technology used for the Occulus Rift?

Would this technology be bad for people's eye's or not?

Would more know game industries like Oculus VR and Sony, start making there own virtual reality glasses? or not?

It really depends on if they can continue to decrease the latency.  People can get dizzy if the latency is too high because then it feels like you've been spinning around.  As far as the technology goes, it's about time they put a 1080p screen in virtual reality glasses.

I am really eager to test these things out.  I've only used a Sony 3D Viewer as far as screens-on-your-face go.  The screen and resolution were very nice, but the field of view was too narrow, and I had difficulty trying to focus the two screens into one.  There was also a blurring and distortion near the ends of the screen due to the lenses.  So overall, it's a work-in-progress product, but I am looking forward to what both Oculus and Sony can do in virtual reality.

hey i saw a video of someone using a pare of them
but i am pretty shure they will mess up peoples vision
the human was never created to cope with technology like this

Would this technolgy also be able to be for blind people or would that be impossible to let blind people see in virtual reality?

No.  All this does is take a digital image and play it on a screen.  Without eyes you still can't see the screen.

The major difference between this and past attempts at VR is the extremely low latency for head-tracking and the extreme field of view.  You can't see the edge of the screen when you're wearing it,  and it updates your position so quickly you're not supposed to notice any lag.

I only have one good eye . Though I can determine depth in a movie
or video game, there isn't any way for me to see true 3d. and though
they have made strides in giving the blind sight. It's still very low resolution,
with few elements.

I have read where they can use sound to create limited BW images the
blind can see mentally. It's still mostly an experimental thing though.

The mind is cabable of creating images more ways than through natural vision
or sound so I am sure one day being blind will only be a bad memory.
