Ok...that's just terrible. Who would do that?...People these days, first the guy that ate someone else's face and now this? Thats just plain sickening...and I think it's safe to say that the dog wasn't ok after that.  I just died a little inside.

grab for the woman police officer too.. I am not surprised the news
didn't have much of anything about the dog. Even though it was a
victim.

Size. Also it's possible the dog simply ran off and they had nothing to report at the time.

Possibly (I imagine she'd have been to hospital by now as a precaution anyway. Helps for insurance purposes - if something happens that's work related you want to be able to prove it was) though it also depends on the day. It says she worked over 12 hrs but not by how much, and I'm sure as cops they do have the potential for some pretty intense work days.

Glad he didn't go after the kids. You'd have to have mental issues to do something like that. I'd be looking to do real harm if it was my dog.

I'm not a cop. But as someone who has worked well past the 12 hour mark I can say collapsing is understandable. Thirteen or more on my job and all I want to do is sleep.  Police work is stressful to begin with. There's no way I'd want to do a double shift or pull more hours if I had to deal with the stuff they have to.
