I really like collarfactory.com.  Anyone know where I can find a decent cowbell that would fit on a collar?

Try hardware stores and the like -especially the ones that have a lot of decorative stuff-, they often have small ones. Worth a try at least.

Or try to search for them online, because that might be the easiest way to find one you like the look of.

Got my collar today  Cheesy

Showed my mom (i bought it for a fursuit, but plan to wear it otherwise) and I said "I think it looks rather smashing." and she replied with an "Okay, sweetie. Very nice."

Whatever. As long as she doesn't send me to a therapist  Smiley

I used to wear a dog collar when I was younger. I was raised around extreme dog lovers (seriously, my family has 7 dogs AND runs a boarding kennel) and dogs were all I ever knew. When used to pretend to be a dog (ages 0-8?), I never felt really connected to any of the canine personas I created. I dropped the collar pretty early on. My love of cats grew after that, my feline fursona came about when I was 10 and it felt right. I'm a wildcat, no collar for me!  Cheesy

I found a UK based site (Kitty Works, I think) that makes collars Smiley Being incredibly weak willed when it comes to things like this, I bought myself one.

Yesterday I wore a red dog collar in town, along with my MLP button as a tag. It was great! Cheesy I'd like to do it again just for the fun of it, though I need to get a cat collar instead of dog.  Tongue

got rid of mine in late 2007, no need for it, kept the tag as a keychain, but it got jammed in a closed door (don't ask) and broke in half.

xD I'm getting a new collar, I just buy them from Petsmart.

I have a question. I started wearing my collar when school was out, and I really don't want to stop wearing it in September. Do you think a school will allow a collar? I mean, I don't see why not. There's no spikes or anything dangerous. Tongue

You can always wear it, and if a teacher or administrator tells you to take it off, then it's not allowed.  You can also get a copy of the dress code and see if it explicitly denies collars.

Interesting thread this. I have a question for those that have bought collars from the collar factory. What do you do to maintain it?
Like, which cleaning products do you use? How do you clean the fur-lining?
My mate bought one for me when we became serious and I've no idea how to maintain it. I've been wearing it less and less now because I'm afraid it'll get ruined.
Oh and I've worn my collar outside a few times now. Once around Dublin City and no one said anything to me. I wore it to an Animecon too and two people complimented me on it ^^
