Welcome to my new Meet the Mod thread for myself. As you can see, I'm starting over. I guess I just wanted to tone down the role playing and other craziness that was in the older other thread that I got rid of, and start anew. I don't mind a little fun and craziness from time to time, but I guess I just want things to be a bit simpler from now on.
As for myself, I've been a member of Furtopia since Nov. 2003. Wow. Long time, eh? And been a staff member and helped Furtopia since Oct. 2006. Most of my interests and hobbies are the following: (Copied from my LJ) aircraft, alaskan malamutes, ancient civilisations, ancient history, archaeology, area 51, battleships, beef jerky, benny hill, book stores, card games, cheese, chocolate, colby cheese, conspiracy theories, dale brown, doctor who, fantasy, food, furry, furry fandom, fursuiting, fursuits, green tea, gundam, indiana jones, james bond, japanese anime, macross, mascots, mexican food, military aviation, model kits, mountain dew, navy ships, pepsi, pizza, red dwarf, robotech, science fiction, shredded cheese, siberian huskies, star trek, star wars, stealth aircraft, the great luke ski, tom clancy, weird al yankovic, white lions, white tigers, wild knights gulkeeva, wine coolers, wolf's rain, wolves, world war two, xfiles,
Anything else you want to know about me, then just ask.

I thought you got rid of the old thread to minimise RPing. Now here you are doing it all over again...

While we're on the subject of prying into your personal interests... *flips through kobuk's mail* What about the area 51 interest? I just ask because I remember being so into that when I was a kid.

What about the area 51 interest? I just ask because I remember being so into that when I was a kid. Hmmmm. Well, my interest in that started long, long ago back in high school IIRC. Sometime during 1986 or later, a friend had shown me a newspaper article about the first reports of a secret stealth fighter (F-117 Nighthawk - Now retired though.) that had crashed near Bakersfield, CA back in the summer of 1986. (I think I have a copy of that article. I'll have to check.) After I read that article, I began to get more intrigued with military aircraft, especially Top Secret black projects such as stealth aircraft. From 1986 onwards, my interest in stealth aircraft, secret projects, and Area 51 has never diminished. I'm not into all the UFO hype about Area 51. I find all that to be a load of rubbish. Everything that I've ever read about the place has to do with "regular" aircraft and aircraft systems only. In the past 20 years, I've been collecting (and still do) books, magazines, newspaper articles, etc. about Area 51 and Top Secret aircraft. I have an entire bookcase filled with reference material.

So much for a top secret facility. I'm actually curious about something myself, which ancient civilizations are you most interested in?

I'm actually curious about something myself, which ancient civilizations are you most interested in? Pretty much all, really. Mayans, Incas, Egyptians, etc., etc., etc. I like to read about ancient history and civilisations. I guess watching all those Indiana Jones films is kinda what sparked my interest. I find it fascinating that they built colossal structures, had advanced astronomy and mathematics, and so much more.

You know they also had some pretty advanced technology too? I have heard and read about that. But so far, nobody has ever found any "advanced technology" greater than stone chisels, clay pottery, etc. at/near pyramids and other excavation sites around the world.

I was reffering to how the greeks and romans developed self opening doors and simple pulley machines operating on water/air pressure and other such things,
