the polling booth / Re: Removing Confederate statues and memorials.

I think it's sad that our country is still divided by the civil war. At
the end we should have worked to heal the nation, not just repair
it structurally, but mentally.

As Obama said people aren't born with hate or racist feelings. We
learn it. We should try to educate the young to understand
differences in culture and how to respect each other.

It only takes a few misguided people to ruin public
harmony. Ignorance endangers us all.

Confederate monuments without a plaque giving
the true history about the monument can be
misleading. Especially when in a government
setting. Hiding true history is bad as it can cause
us to repeat it.

It used to be because of the nice people, but I feel like I've been meeting less and less decent furries nowadays. Most of the nice people I've met have been on the FA art site, but a lot of other forums I've gone to the "furries" there have been generally unlikable. I haven't been here much, though, and I'm ready to give this forum a try, hoping the people here are nicer than some other forums I've gone to.

As far as anthros go I love how diverse anthros are, and how there's so much you can do with them, how cool they look, and how they fit personality expressions better than humans can. Plus, being human, humans are pretty much the most uninteresting species because they're so much like me, being human, that it makes the characters less different and special, and in turn, less interesting.

news forum / Re: Trump the GOP and Democrats. A new path or more of the same.

Trump day 213
President Trump ran for president saying what he thinks. Or at least he claimed he did.
Trouble is saying what he personally thinks or what he thinks his suppporters want to
hear often does more harm than good. He needs to think about what's good for the country, not whats good for himself when he makes a speech. I know his supporters
like his outspoken way, but his supporters are only  a manority, and to be a good
president he must support all of the people. Not just those who voted for him.

It appears Trump is pulling away from the GOP. His attacks on the GOP leadership
sure won't help his agenda. Perhaps he and Bannon are planing to create a new
party. I know Trump felt the GOP failed him by not replaceing the ACA. I wonder
what happens if the GOP fails to do tax reform, Trumps wall or infrastructure
this fall?

Trump and Bannon may think they can build enough support to start a new party,
but even the Reform party that started with Ross Paroh failed after 10 years.
It could be Trump thinks he can resurrect it. Time will tell.

This is speculation, but with Trump who can say.

Re-organising my current 500+ DVD/Blu-Ray movie collection, and also compiling a long list of DVD movies that I don't have, but want to collect.

I love how one can integrate furry art and fursuiting with other activities and cult favorites. As an example, my local con is doing a Monty Python theme for next year. Another year-Steampunk. Yet another--Mad Science.
