Hi Wanderer

I can see good potential in your art. I think you can
be a fine artist with some study and practice.

I find it helps to look at other art you like. There one
can see how others draw characters, and learn from it.

I would suggest getting a book on drawing figures, and
animals, or you can google for drawing same. There are
many sites that show how to draw furry characters too.

This will help you learn proportions, perspective, and other
things one needs to draw well.

Many people learning to draw on their own end up with bad
habits that impair them later on. So learning good basics is
always best.

Keep drawing and posting. I am sure you will get
helpful suggestions when you want them..

I also see some good potential. I like your facial expressions. As old rabbit says just look for some good basics. Learn from others. I may not have much room to talk, because i can't draw to save my life, but i can see some proportional problems in your artwork. It may be the perspective you use, or the angles the faces are at, but in any case i can't do angles at all, so... You're on the right track, the eyes and mouth are the key to a good feeling in your art and you seem to do good in that aspect. I guess all i can say is practice, practice, and practice. Practice makes perfect. good job though, a million times better than i can do! Cheesy

I would google "How to draw"  I did this and there are several
sites with helpful info.

It's a good idea to start drawing things you see around you.
Learning perspective and proportions is important. Drawing
still life is a good way to start. Apples, bananas, and such.

That's not to say you can't draw animals and characters too,
but draw every day.

It's all about training your eyes and drawing hand to really
see, and draw what your looking at.

Keep up the good work. Bunny

Your last picture listed was an excellent concept to improve. You've got your red panda rendered very well. Your expressions are easily recognizable too. THat's one thing I still struggle with. Most of my people look ticked off all the time, lol. (:You may just take a page and fill it with different poses, head shots and views of those with expressions as well. And just do them over and over and over until you know them by heart and you can sketch things like lightening. Granted, you'll still run into new perspectives that take a while to figure out, lol. But the last picture is the way to go. Read dance magizines, get pictures off of google of your animal fursona, try to find websites that are about cartooning and even try to check out books from the library or buy them from a store that feature How to draw or simplified anatomy. I have quite a few books to help me with those. I know money is an issue with me so I use my birthday, christmas, or just the internet to get my assistance, lol.

Even drawing from a reference photo and copying it exactly, but in your style and your character's over all look is all right. I do it occasionally and it teaches me how my character would look in that pose, expression, dynamic stance and such. Cool Draw everyday, too. For at least five minutes, if you can. Doesn't matter what just draw! Cheesy
