New Furtopia "Spam Shield".
« on: November 26, 2003, 04:05:59 am »
I will be installing a new spam filter tonight I just finished coding.

This service is called Furtopia “Spam Shield”.  It works by creating a "list" of known GOOD e-mails.  For known good e-mails it lets those e-mails through.  For unknown e-mails it holds the original e-mail and sends a reply back to the original sender requesting he/she reply with a code.

Once the user has replied to this e-mail with the code Furtopia’s Spam Shield will “remember” that e-mail address as a "GOOD" non-spamer address and all your future e-mails will pass through our spam filter without this hindrance.

We are sorry for this inconvenience so please understand.  Do to "horrid" abuses from spammers (we now get 5-10+ spams delivered to our mailboxes EVERY second) we have been forced to implement a new spam filter to block these automated e-mails or else lose some of YOUR e-mails in the mass spam flood.  So PLEASE help use survive this "spam attack" and work with us so we can keep spammers OUT of Furtopia for good!

Furtopia “Spam Shield” is still in beta testing.  Please report any unusual activity/emails to .net and .com does NOT accept e-mail advertisements or unsolicited e-mails.
