the best mouse to use, instead of a tablet is a optic mouse

I hardly ever use a mouse to draw. I draw certain things [namely hair] with quick, soft strokes that a mouse just can't get right. But I've never used an optical mouse, so that might work.

No money for a tablet or PhotoShop or anything of the really cool stuff, so I just stick to pen and paper for the most part. As an aside, though, my avatar was drawn with a mouse in MS Paint. The jaggy-ness of the hair kinda gives it away, doesn't it?
