Art trades
« on: March 13, 2004, 01:33:31 am »
(If this question needs to be moved to a different section, Please feel free to do so.)

I've mostly been a lurker, and mostly only on Furtopia. I was wondering how art trades are generally done & what the general etiquette is for asking for an art trade. Thank you!

I lurk mostly, because I tend to be quiet and rather sensitive.

As far as I know you just ask some one if they would like to do an art trade with you. If they say yes, then you both describe what you would like done and with the character description you want created. For me, I give the other person freedom in their creations with my description of my character. I find letting them the freedom to use their own particular skills results in a much nicer piece of trade. (smiles)

So far, I have not actually traded the actual pics. I have scanned them at high res and put it up on my website for the person to be able to download and print out. The same as the other artist.

Though, with Ulario, looks like we will actually be sending each other the actual trade pics we have created.

It all depends on what you and the other person agree upon. I think there is another topic here some where about the same thing.

Do a search on "trade" and see what you come up with.

Basically, you just ask someone if they would like to do a trade with you and go from there.
My avatar was created on 7-24-2000 (one of these days I need to make a new one. LOL)

I like to art trades, especially a character type I've never done before.  I only do illustrations that are PG or lower, and I also only do art trades when I'm not very busy.  If you're interested, just email me.
