Dolphin or other ocean-dwelling anthro help
« on: January 12, 2006, 05:17:16 pm »
In Art Composition we are doing a piece in Wet-in-Wet/Wash and Drybrushing with watercolor. The catch is that the background is an underwater scene. We can express ourselves with this in any way we wish using real stuff of art stuff. So I decided to do a Dolphin anthro but I have a problem with the shape of it. I haven't had luck finding a source of an anthro dolphin so I'm turning to y'all. :3

Any other suggestions for my piece are welcomed along with links to dolphin pictures whether anthro or real. *nodnod*
And Iíll be wearing white when I come into your kingdom,
Iím as green as the ring on my little cold finger,
Iíve never known the lovin' of a man,
But it sure felt nice when he was holding my hand.

the opinion on cetacians and how they'd look in a humanoid form varies between persons who draw.  Very few people draw more than Delphoids or Orcines. the biggest, and hardest, part, is deciding what exactly the shape of the feet is.

unfortunately, most of the available material involoving Cetacians is ADULT...and gay adult at that.

delphine refrences

This link contained adult works with no warnings
(please try to fnd a non-adult themed artist to use for examples)

I've seen alot of MichaFennec's stuff just by browsing furbid.

I did find a dolphin anthro by using the all-knowing google search. The hands and feet for it were kind of webbed which I thought was pretty neat. So I took my twist on it. It turned out pretty good. I'll scan when I find the time. Thanks sniffswind.

That's my personal take, usually though with a fin, not hair.  In her case her hair is all around it.  '<img'>
