I suppose most of you saw the drawing I did for Ulario. Which
I got some nice comments on. If not click here

But I still feel I have much to learn about wings, so the
question is on wings, and the best way to draw them.

I have alot of reference material. Perhaps someone can
point me in the right direction.

All comments appricated.

Here are a couple of links that should help.

Black Unigryphon's Tutorial
Wing Reference pictures
Dreslough.com tutorial

There were a couple of good ones hosted on SheezyArt as well, but at the moment, that site's down.

Yay, another Neon Dragon follower! *waves* Hello sisiter of the ND lair.

Old Rabbit you have better skills than I do when it comes to wings. I am still trying to get it down, using Neon's tutorials. Theya re excellent. I suggest watching her art, I learned to draw horses (fianlly) '<img'> from watching her.

Old Rabbit:

Wings are actually one of my specialties.  I'll try and draw up a reference sheet and post it for you tomorrow (hopefully).

Excellent posting, Ulario.  This is the same way I draw mine/was taught.  (Ulario's mini tutorial is also similar to the Disney one) I sometimes will hold my own arm out in that shape and spread my fingers, so I can reference.

Also, if anyone is interested, I can toss up a tutorial on the toon "wing-arms".  I really don't know of many(if any, now that I think about it) furry artists aside from myself that draw those.  Those are the ones that bird toons have.. their wings double as their arms/hands..  Iago from Aladdin is like that.  Heckle and Jeckle (I think) were like that, too.
NYA!  =^_^=

Unfortunately, you don't see wing-hands too much on cartoon birds.  If I remember correctly, Donald Duck and Dafft Duck (two of the most famous cartoon birds) both have regular hands.  Which makes Daffy look kinda silly when he's flying.  ':p'

Some other, like gogo dodo didn't even have arms.  '<img'>

Thanks for the input on the tutorial, I might do a more detailed one compauring different wing positions to hand positions sometime.
