Getting Frustrated!!!! GROWLLL
« on: October 31, 2005, 10:48:33 pm »
For the past few days I have been trying to draw a Buck deer's head.  Its a 3/4 front view.  I am having no luck with it, despite having reference pics and a few how-to books on hand.  Full fronts and side views arent a problem for me, but 3/4's get me all the time.  Its driving me insane!! Do any of yall have any helpful technigues that you would care to share?  Or know of a website or book that might help me out?  Please share your wisdom, I need it!!!

when i draw a picture (mind you i'm not very good) the first thing i draw is the eyes, once the eyes are placed you place the nose and the mouth and then you can refrence off the eyes where the ears go.

I know it is backwards from how other people do it, but i tried the drawing the head thing first and it was a nogo with me, but as long as i get the eye placement, everthing falls into place.

Give it a go.  oh, and the eye is the first thing i draw on the whole paper.

good luck
