How do you find new commissions?
« on: June 21, 2005, 12:30:35 am »
This isn't really an art technique, per se. I'm wondering if anybody has any ideas on how to advertize for character portrait commissions. Where's a good place to post ads for that? I'm not trying to bug anyone here to get new commissions for artwork; I'm asking how I should go about advertizing in a proper place, web site, forum, bulletin board, etc.
I've recently decided to start taking commissions for money. I've never done this before, though I have already written up terms for a commission contract.

Practice your critical skills here! Constructive critiques are welcome and encouraged on any of my drawings posted here. I can take it.

No clue. Still trying to develop my stuff to the point where I think someone might pay for something I draw.

Furbid, first and foremost. I advertise on my LJ, in various furry-related LJ communities, here on the board, on my DeviantART account, etc. Anywhere I can post something like that that doesn't make it off topic. '<img'>
