How do you....
« on: February 04, 2004, 03:30:10 pm »
.....how do you clean sacnned pictures. The thing is after I scan my pictures I open it with MSpaint, then when I try to color it, I see I must clean it in order to properly fill it in with the bucket tool. Does anyone know of any programs or ways to clean it.....and also how to make the lines darker. If you can assist me, Thank you. '<img'>

Never used MSpaint. I use mainly Paint Shop Pro for very basic cleaning up of the pic. Lighting, darkening, making white look white, using the 'eraser' to redo lines.

There might be someone on here that uses MSpaint and hopefully will be able to help you.

Sorry I couldn't help.

Yeah...ms paint isnt very good at all. I dont know how you'd clean a picture in that program....unless you spent a long time with the eraser. Ms paint's flood fill isnt very good either. Hmm...do you have any other programs at all?

MS Paint is like MS Works, it's only there to annoy and frustrate you until you buy Word.

The best way I can think of doing it with Paint would be to fill everything with an unused color that stands out, like bright neon green or hot pink, and then paint over all the parts that didn't fill, then fill it back with white.  That can be really time consuming, though, especially if it's a really dirty scan.
