Just go to Google and look up pictures of dogs, foxes and wolves.

I can tell you right now that foxes have much slimmer, smaller muzzles where-as wolves have longer muzzles than dogs.

You've probably heard this advice a thousand times already. '<img'>

Make sketches of photos you like. This is the best way to get familiar with how the animals look. Start with the largest shapes, and add gradually more detail. This will make it easier to concentrate on getting the proportions right. Double-check your pictures in a mirror.

I've been having some issues right now, but practicing a lot is helping.

For me, I've always drawn canines all about the same, with a few 'generic' differences:

Foxes have long, slender muzzles
Wolves are thicker, and still fairly long
Domestic dogs are semi-thick, and shorter.

Other than that, I tend to start off with a straight line for the top and first 2/3 of the bottom starting from the head, and a curve that connects them.

Wish I could be of more help.....
Dragonfoxes are crafty creatures, although highly protective.  They love a good prank, prefer to be loners, and this one is highly artistic.

Nocte - thanks for the skull ref site. That should prove to be useful!

I'm with the others, Doma. You have the basics of drawing heads down pretty well. Beyond that, it's just practice.

Nocte has a good muzzle drawing tutorial in this thread... might help.

Good luck, bro. Practice is the key.

Well I took the advice and I tried my hardest to make it detailed.

Here is what I have.  The one's marked in a box is most prefered by me.

So far I am having trouble making my fox and wolf muzzles look different so I am asking for more advice.
