Welcome to the boat, BlueFox! I could use some tutorials, as well, and any tips you people have for muzzles & faces... I'm finding those particularly difficult..

Anyway, I'll hunt around the web and post anything I find.

1.- always sketch first ( try to just put a simple skeleton maded of circles of simple lines to see if the position and pose looks good for you
2.- do the same in another paper if you think that pose is good. and then start to divide the lines to put the places of everything important ( like head, chest, crotch, arms, legs, knees etc.. )
3.- once you have everything fine, then you start to detail the body ( i usually start from the head )

My philosophy on drawing is - "It's hard, it will always be hard, but you will also get better at making the hard look easy"

Like Cesarin said, plannings always important. It'll help stop any massive problems with anatomy and help get poses on paper before getting into too much detail.

If you want my advice, though, do some studies of animals from photos. Learning the structure of an animal's skull will help you understand where the shape of it's muzzle comes from, and learning what the animal looks like usually will help with depicting fur and such.

I find muzzles hard too, but after doing some work on it they *do* improve. It's just a matter of practice.

And of course theres the primary rule of artwork. Enjoy  '<img'>

I always found this very helpful:

After you have finished your first rough sketch, look at it in a mirror. You'll immediately see what's wrong with it... it probably looks skewed to one side.

If you draw digitally, you can mirror the picture horizontally and fix the mistakes. On paper, I think the easiest way is to flip it over, and trace a new sketch on the back, changing it where you think it's necessary.

Yeah, that'd be tunnel vision and it can be a pain in the butt. You can also get round it by taking a 15 min break then going back or looking at the pic in a mirror

my anthros are simple to do, I just do the head of the anthro, and the form od the body on the vertical, a little far away from the head (just a little), then I do the neck, simple huh? '<img'> (if you don't understand very mutch it's because my english sometimes is very bad)
