Sometimes it'ss hard to think up what to draw, so I thought I'd make a topic about it, namely, rarely drawn animals. For instance, how often do you see an anthropomorphic mudpuppy? Not often (really, never) but I'd bet it'd be worth drawing. What kind of animals would you want to see as furries?

Have you ever seen:
A hippo?
A Kolibri?
A Kiwibird?
A buffolo?
Guieniapigs? (spelling?)

Eh.. um.. o.O I think you must mean Australia? New Zealand only has one sort of native mammal, a bat, which has almost been wiped out.

I love tazmanian devils though. I'm kinda surprised that no one ever seems to draw them.

you want a "rarely used"?  how about ANY sort of fish?  the only thing you see anthros of in the water breathers world is the occasional shark. I have an early peice in which I did several Picecian anthros.  one of them, a Gar, came out very nice.  I should find and scan this early peice for people's opinions

One of my characters in an anthro praying mantis.  Haven't drawn him in a while though.   But he's a mage, and those extra limbs sure come in handy.

One of my other characters is an anthro box turtle.  I rarely draw her because she's so difficult to draw.  It's near impossible to give her a shell and still make her look sexy.

Another one of my chars is an anthro gorilla.  He's a bouncer.  He wears a tuxedo.  Never drawn him before... been meaning to do that.

Other unusual species for you guys to try.  None of my chars are these species, but it would still be interesting: fish, bumblebees, newts, rhinos, cows, elephants, hippos, water buffalo, snakes, quetzalcoatls, weedy sea dragons (it's an actual animal), pigs,  mandrills, whales, chimeras, frogs/toads , etc.

Actually, my mate is a guinea pig.
What's a Kolibri?
I saw a fish once, in a bad video game (Breath of Fire I for SNES), but it was poorly done anyway. Just a dude with a fish head. I can't even begin to imagine how you'd draw a fish, so if you have some artwork Sniffswind, I'd love to see what you came up with.
How about a muskrat? They're pesky little things that chew up your garden. A good character for mindless mischief.
Cephalopods (Squid, Octipi, Cuttlefish and Nautilus) are super intelligent, but they don't even remotely resemble humans...
Snails are cute
Civets

I personally have never seen a donkey or a mule anthro.  I've also seen very few bipedal elephants.

Well, now I'm curious.  I've never seen an anthro elephant.  I drew one last year, and I liked the result.

A donkey fursuit?  Do you have pics?  Sounds fascinating.

Savaaha, could this be the donkey fursuit you were first thinking about?

The badge has the fursona name of Donkey on it if you look really hard. This fursuiter can be regularly found on the Anthrocon main website discussion board.

I've seen a couple of girraffes. I actually quite like how they look... although when people do them with short necks, they do look a little.. odd to me o.O

Actally...my No 1 was a giraffe. I still have my first anthro floating around somewhere, but with having to switch to a new comp, I need to go get art programs put on this thing, not to mention reinstall all the accessories from the old comp.
