I assume that I don't have to book my house.  8)

Also, according to everyone I've chatted with who's gonna be there (read: one person), I should change my plan from "volunteering" to "attending". A hard decision, actually.

I've thought about volunteering but every year I've been I've barely have enough time to do what I want. Volunteering would lessen my fun time I think :C

Maybe once I've been to way more conventions and don't have the need to see EVERYTHING then I'll volunteer.

Thanks for the info.

I put in a deposit for Saturday night only at the Doubletree.  I'd put in for the whole weekend already, but I have find out about if I'm going to have a job around the time when the con "opens up shop" in June.  I was at this convention last year and had a spectacular time there!  I even auditioned to DJ for this year's con!  I really hope to make it this year.

This just in:

http://content.usatoday.com/communities/popcandy/post/2012/02/pop-traveler-10-reasons-to-visit-pittsburgh/1#.T0Ot4ExAbNB

Anthrocon ranks #3 in the Top 10 Reasons to Visit Pittsburg! :D

And another reason I must go again to AC this year........  :)

8. Primianti Bros. -- Take lots of meat and cheese, a few slices of tomato, homemade vinegar coleslaw and top it with a heaping handful of fresh cut fries. Position ALL of it between two pieces of thick sliced locally baked Italian bread. This creation is 1,000 calories of deliciousness known as the Primanti Bros. sandwich.

A must-try for anyone who visits, the sandwich has been honored by the James Beard Foundation as an American classic, devoured by Adam Richman on Travel Channel's Man vs. Food and recently named "Manliest Sandwich" by Men's Health magazine. There are multiple Primanti Bros. restaurants, but to get the full experience, stop by the original restaurant in Pittsburgh's Strip District.

On a related note, all of my roommates have bailed so if you want a place for quiet furs, PM me.  If you're an experienced handler willing to help me with my quad, you go half price!

As with every year since 2009, i will be there once again! Looking forward to seeing all my fuz budz again  :) - Now, if only i could use my income tax return money to go, then i could bring my mate, but nooooooo - we can has France trip on a widdy iddy bity budget, that includes hostels. But, yanno :P it IS Europe, after all, and i like to run around and be random at cons, which would drive her nuts, lol.

Speaking as someone who used to live in France, it is well worth missing a con. If for no other reason, the food is so much better there. American food will look like garbage by comparison, because it is! :D

Hey Kobuk I'll see u there, and hopefully buy you a bottle or two of some Mountain Dew (regular or diet, or any kind), or maybe some Ice tea. I was suppose to host a panel called Whose Furry Line Is It Anyway? well it turns out that they wanted to shoot me down on it. They are worried that it won't go well, but I've seen the show like so many times, and the newer version of it called Comedy Improv, and now it's on YouTube, but they still want me to host a panel. So they gave me 2 other options of which panel they think I should run, and I told them that I didn't want to do either one, and then Sharky said about another panel and I told him about it, and now he's gonna have to talk it over with Panda.

I'm totally prepared to go to AC now.  I'll be at the Doubletree this year, and will be taking Amtrak from Boston on the Wednesday before the con.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to go. I'm trying to "stay the course" as it were, but issues with work and also finances are making things unpredictable.  :(
