As the old saying goes: "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day."  Well, if that's true, then what does everyone here like to eat for breakfast.......if you do have anything? Share your favorite recipes or talk about favorite places you've had breakfast at. :)

Breakfast really depends on how I feel and the weather.  I really haven't been a bacon & eggs person for a long time, but once in a while.  I have just about everything else on a fairly regular basis.  Depends on what we have, what we feel like, how hot it is. :)  Really, who eat oatmeal when it's already warm at breakfast time?

My new favorite place to eat is The Little Pink Restaurant in Wisconsin Rapids, WI.  It will be a sad day when they close.

Usually coffee and some type of pastry, though on rare occasion I will splurge and make a large breakfast of consisting of either fried eggs, fried spam , and home fries. Another favorite is a Mexican style omelet which is you basic omelet with a filling of fried chorizo, queso quesadilla, and sliced avocado. Pancakes are had on even rarer occasions.

Must have meat.

Except for a country ham and grits with red eye gravy, I am not too keen on western breakfast of eggs and sweet stuff. I do like a good Bagel

I prefer Asian breakfast like Japanese  (broiled fish, rice, pickles and miso soup), Chinese Rice Portage, Philippine (Longansia and garlic fried rice) or Thai style rice soup with pork or seafood. I also just do a Chinese or Thai fired rice.
a lot of my breakfast ideas are inspired from my extensive travel in Asia.

Mostly, I scrounge and scavenge.  Then again, that's because my work schedule is downright nasty.

I know it's supposed to be the most important meal of the day but what I have really is random  x_x

Some days it can be toast, others a fried breakfast, a quick chocolate bar (usually before work) or even nothing (I know I know that's not good for me >.<). Since work takes up 5 days it's mainly the chocolate bar (which also isn't that good for me but it keeps me happy till lunch) :)

I usually go right for the coffee (or tea, when available) and nothing more.

However, I like to cut up a green banana into bran flake cereal sometimes. I pour a small amount of honey in the milk. That's good cereal.

Sometimes I get stuffed pizza bread and cold green tea from the bakery.

I'm never really hungry at all in the morning, waking up and thinking about eating just makes me feel sick, I normally wait and sit at my computer until lunch.

If my mother is feeling nice she will sometimes make me a cup of tea :)

Other.

I wake up in the afternoons, and tend to have dinner foods then & breakfast foods like cereal or eggs *before* I go to bed.  I'm a huge bagel fan, too.

If I'm going all-out, I love to make a breakfast cassarole, or a shipwreck (Girl Scout version of a scrambled omelette), Bishop's Bread (like a coffee cake), or pancakes.

I go to sleep late and wake up about six hours later which tends to be after eleven am, many days I will have lunch and dinner foods for the first meal of the day, pizza, chili, and am more likely to want Fresh Toast and Waffles in the evening.
