best eats while at a con
« on: November 22, 2009, 04:46:00 am »
Okay, so Itico and I were joking (sort of) about tweeting about our meal at Mi Mexico (while at MFF). Anyway, thought I would start a thread, but as good as the food was at Mi Mexico, I would rather talk about the veggie wrap at Rise N' Dine. Best veggie wrap I have ever had by far (and I have eaten a lot of veggie wraps). Eggplant, asparagus, spinach, roasted red peppers, caramelized onions, tomato, mushrooms and a garlic sauce (and I am sure I am forgetting something). Am really hoping the vitamin C packed wrap along with the Super Juice (carrot, apple and ginger) is enough to ward off any viruses that are going around. Couldn't hurt *shrugs*

So what is the best food you have eaten while at a con?

The wrap was very good, and so were the fries.  However, I still have to say something about Mi Mexico.

I love food, and I obvious;y like to eat.  Growing up in California, I have experience with a great deal of Mexican food, which I love along with my other favorites; Italian and Thai.  Mi Mexico has some really good food and the restaurnt is nice too.  I had a dish, the divorce enchiladas (Enchiladas Divorciadas), three enchiladas with three different creamy sauces.  One very good green, one chipotle and a very unusual white that was very good.  It is very hard to get me to go 'wow' about anything, especially Mexican food, but that did it most definitepy.  And that is ,hy I made the joke about Twitter!  Which I am not even on.

My favorite meal cannot be mentioned here and have it keep its PG rating.   :P

Beyond that, my diet goes all to heck when I'm attending a Con. Mostly since I'm a Fursuiters, I just drink a lot of water. Its amazing just how much water I go through at a con when I'm suiting. When I'm being a smooth skin then I might have a light meal here or there, what-ever is close and convienient for me is the best. This past MFF, I went out and met a couple friends at Claimjumper on Friday night, that was a good meal but their Guinness was bloody expensive. Payed $15 for only 2 imperial pints (23oz). That was more then the meal itself.
