« on: August 14, 2004, 09:55:25 am »
Found this on Flayrah this morning Winged Cat The picture's not great the Russian news article is interesting, to say the least. It's sad that in what was one of the greatest empires the people live with third world conditions and education  '<img'>

Drowned cat out of fear... wings real or not... makes me really rather very sad and quite angry.
Did I do that?

Isn't it great how every time a unique animal is found, it's called "The Devil" and slaughtered without reason?

Haha, I bet they got that from Pravda. The same great "news" source with informative articles such as...

ALIEN VISITS RUSSIAN PROVINCE!
SOVIET ARMY FOUGHT UFO'S!
RUSSIAN BABIES VICTIMS OF EVIL TESTS!
RUSSIAN TIME MACHINE!
JESUS CHRIST BORN IN UKRAINE!
BORISKA - THE BOY FROM MARS!

I <3 Pravda. ^^

Years and years ago there was another 'winged' animal... though it was more a bone deformation with stretched skin, the animal was fine if the incident was actually true. I think it was a rabbit, but it might have been a cat. It was literally years ago, however, so I have neither the memory or the source...

Sad though, but not suprising if that cat existed. Many zealots here would claim it to be hell-born, too.

Im inclined to say its just extra limbs. I saw a show where theres a guy who collects animals with such deformaties. Its too bad areas of the world are still believing such animals are products of the devil.

I closer connection to, or appretiation of, the natural world around us seems to be something that many furs share. It is sad how people think sometimes. Adversion to, or even fearing, the odd, unique, or unknown. It's something furry and many other groups have experienced enough, and is a common theme in the X-Men. Its one of humanities biggest weeknesses.
I personally get a triple shot of this behaviour. Being a furry, gay, and driving a ricer. None of those really draw much negative attention, but you get the idea.

What would you guys have done if that animal was real? I think I'd just give it some milk, water, and food on occasion, but leave it alone if it could fend for it's self.

hell human idiots that are in farms most of the time call the demon or satan creatures anything that is not normal..they kill any new kind of species as soon they see them..

stupid religius zealots and "holy books" twats...

they just spreaded the fear to gain control over the faith of many people.. these kind of stuff wants me to puke to be honest..
imagine a REAL alien from another planet comes to visit..
you know what kind of reaction many people will get
"OHH ITS THE DEVIL!!!"
the powerful bishops or other power-hungry religius twats will try to kill it because it doesnt fit in the "HOLY BOOKS OF GOD"
if not, one or another country governament or military group will try to steal and suck all technology they can from said creature and hide them from the rest in their quest for power....

remember what happened to copernicus.. and many other science people..

sad but true, humans sucks

I don't feel quite that strongly, and I have nothing against strongly religious people if they don't "jump" on me, but I'm inclided to agree with Cesarin. Its a big part of why I don't go by a book for my religion. I want spirituality, not a law book, I can make morals on my own.

I saw a show on mutated animals, and most of them were owned by people who appreciated thier uniqueness.

Well, in this situation it as clearly not safe for the cat to be ouit and about and had likely been a pet, so taking it in would have been the best thing for it o_O.

Since it was likely just matted fur from hell, a good trim and demattization would be just the thing!

I also find it very sickening that the human race has to destroy anything they find unnatural or "born of evil"

Whether the cat is real or not, that is a sad fact I wish I could change.
Life is rocky but keep climbing! It is most definitely worth it!
