New adventures in slacking off
« on: March 28, 2004, 08:05:57 pm »
Jackalman abscent mindedly watched Lion-O yell ho and run off to do battle with Mummra and the mutants, then leaned lazily against his staff staring off into space.  Cheetarah poked his shoddily made quarter staff with her infinitely superior own staff.

"What?" he asked.

She tapped his staff again.

"Seriously, what?" asked Jackalman.

Cheetarah was beginning to look annoyed.

"Oh, right, the fight, sorry," said Jackalman as he seemed to just remember his que.

He patted himself down all around his body as as a man looking for his wallet.  He then pulled from one of his pockets a small folded piece of paper.

"Sorry, sorry about that," he said as he unfolded the paper and handed it to Cheetarah, "Here."

"What's this?" Cheetarah asked incredulously.

"Doctor's note," said Jackalman, "Can't fight today.  Sorry about that."

"If you can't fight, then what are you doing here?" screamed Cheetarah.

"Look, Slithe said I didn't have to fight," defended Jackalman, "He just said I had to delay you for a while."

There was an uncomfortable pause.

"How am I doing?" asked Jackalman.

Frustrated and a little disgusted, Cheetarah left in a huff.  Jackalman yelled after her,

"If your gonna wreck the FistPounder, I'm gonna need a ride!"

Then Jackalman looked to his watch and said to himself,  "Forty seconds, that's longer than my usual best."
