The fur wars.
« on: July 10, 2004, 09:20:31 pm »
The year is 2012, and tension between the goons of Something Awful and every known furry of the world has escalated into violence, bursts of combat erupting between the two hateful groups, many prayed to go back to meaningless insults back in the days off 2004, which were now considered peace. But over the course of eight years technology grew, and fell into the hands of those who would use it the wrong way. Furries developed a medicine that would turn themselves into the Anthro or feral form of their choice, and the Goons were equipped with only the best weapons to counter their opponent. It was nature vs. technology, and who would win could only be decided by those who wanted it most.

Now I just typed that up real quick, just a spur of the moment type thing, I donít want to offend anyone here, and if this topic is unacceptable please close or erase it. I only thought it would be interesting to write a war story about SA and furries.
If I should finish, just say so, if not, flame this post like it was a pedophile in prison.

Yeah, finish it, it has potential, but make sure you don't go too "X-Men" on it... and don't use the term "goons" because the story gets kinda shallow ':?:' Add suspense, treachery, action, cool weapons and stuff!!

Believe it or not, this is sorta' similar to something I'm writing at the moment.  No guns and anthro surgery though. '' Basically, after the CSI episode aired, I got the bright idea to write a pro-furry episode of Law & Order in retaliation.

So far, the plot is that there are two websites, ($omAwf) and (F4J) that make a living by writing crap about furries.  To counter them is a website called (the fursona of it's user) which offers insightful essays into both the nature of furries, and on the nature of the websites that slander the fandom.  Both WC and STH take stabs at his website, but through processes that would take a while to explain, the Truth Tiger ends up discrediting them instead, which for both sites turns out to be a blow to their finances.  They have to put up tons of banner ads to keep their sites alive, while meanwhile Truth Tiger begins selling comedy albums on his website, which he later has to move to a major distributor.

Anyway, Truth Tiger keeps getting positive exposure, while the websites that tried to slander him keep sinking lower because TT and and other comedians that learned of WC through TT have given the two websites the reputation of being sources of misinformation and hangouts for "losers." Then word reaches them that Truth Tiger will be hosting a live performance at the NYC Furcon.  The WC webmaster and a few of his local loyalists devise a plan to steal Truth Tiger's fursuit (which he wears during every public appearance thanks to a few pipe-bomb incidents), upon which the webmaster puts it on, runs about town at midnight and tries to get thrown out of as many bars and meet up with as many hookers as possible.  Unfortunately, someone else read about their plan on their message board (haven't decided who yet) and turned the WC plan to slander the Truth Tiger into an attempt to frame the Truth Tiger for murder.

I know that's pretty blatant, but it's what I write when I've got writer's block everywhere else. ''
