Digitigrade (Animal paws)
Plantigrade (Human feet)

I think you did a good job incorporating everyone's advice on the digitigrade stance.  The plantigrade one looks good, but now the digitigrade one looks even better in my opinion.  I will look forward to seeing the finished version in the game!

Thanks...

But I'm concerned that the tibia's on the digitigrade version may still be a little to long, do you see it too, or is it just me?

The back and arm positioning still looks rather stiff on both versions I find. Not exactly sure how to describe it though .

I would still definitely shorten the tibias and increase the size of the metatarsals so that the tibias are at a bit more of an angle.  But that's just me.  ^^

I'd also make the stifle a little bit more distinct.

That being said,   it still looks great.   =3  It's Getting there.  ^^

It might be.  It's close, so maybe someone with a more artistic eye could say for sure.

I thought I might have to lengthen the femur a bit,
Iíve been using theses sites as references,

(Site 1) and,
(Site 2)

And it looks like the femur needs to be made longer, all the examples Iíve seen, has the metatarsus as the shortest of the three leg bones.

I guess Iíll just have to render both versions (longer metatarsus version and longer femur version) to see which looks better.

In any case, thanks to all for the help and advice. :)

aye but remember you're blending animal and human traits...  Which...  can be done many ways.  I guess that's a style preference.  ^^

To reiterate from previous posts,
This model is for reference, the examples and measurements of the model(s) displayed in this thread will be used to create a new model,
That will be better suited for use in a physics engine for video games.

Now what Iíve done here is adjust the length of the leg bones,

Number 1 is the new default, pictured in the first post.
Number 2 has a shorter tibia (middle leg bone), with the femur and metatarsus lengthened into the tibia.
Number 3 has a longer femur (top leg bone), which shortens and lowers the top of the tibia.
And number 4 has a longer metatarsus (bottom leg / top foot bone), which shortens and raises the bottom of the tibia.

It is also important to know that this image uses orthographic projection rendering so there is no depth perception.
(That means that everything is equidistant from the center of the camera.)

Thatís about all for this model,
But getting the bone and joint length measurements right is very important to help build the new game version properly,
So Iím interested in hearing what everyoneís thoughts on which digitigrade version is best.

Also, keep in mind that I have not abandoned the plantigrade version,
And I am still interested in the voting results, so I can have a good idea of what everyone wants to see.

Thanks for reading. :)

I picked #4 out of this latest lineup before looking at the relative lengths.  That's just my gut feeling.

If anyoneís still interestedÖ
Itís coming down to the last chance to vote or add an opinion before I start work on the bullet physics ragdoll mesh of the new game character.

I plan to start work when the new Blender version is released. (Blender 2.58) itís supposedly going to be released in June,
The RCís arenít even out yet, so I donít know exactly when that will be, but it still should be relatively soon.

Anyways,
The popular vote will determine which version (digitigrade or plantigrade) will be used for all the in game characters,
With the exception of species that simply cannot function in such a way.

So if anyone hasn't voted, or has anything to say, I'm still listening.
