Yep! Not long ago I beat the snes Godzilla game in one sitting.  Every time I go to a convention I always check out the snes games they have.  I also spend a lot of time on like Nintendo's online store and playstation network looking at old games they have for sell on there.

I'm actually currently playing through the entire Metroid in chronological order, so I've been dabbling with Virtual Console to play the original :)

Absolutely. Many of the games from those systems were awesome, and are still just as fun now as they were then. Good gameplay is far more important than good graphics. Basically, I don't care if it's a new game or an older one as long as it's a good game.

Occasionally I will still play the old Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy, Star Fox, and Mario games, RC Pro Am, Marble Madness, Secret of Mana, Secret of Evermore, Lufia..., F-Zero, SF Rush, Golden Eye, and the list goes on...

If we include other consoles from the same time like Sega Genesis / CD / Saturn, and the PS1...
Then also the early Need for Speed's and Medal of Honor's, Panzer Dragoon, the Sonic games, Gex, Iron Storm, Brutal Paws of Fury, Columns, etc.

And once in a while I'll play the Atari 2600 games as well... Such as Pac Man, Centipede, Missile Command, Galaxian, Xevious, etc.

I'm not familiar with System Shock.
And while I recall renting Alien 3 (or some Aliens game), it may have been a different version as it was on Genesis.

So I'll check those out when I can. Thanks.

As far as old games go, the farthest back i go is original Xbox and Gamecube.  Not because i don't like games older than that, but simply because i don't have access to older systems.

That being said, SSBM and Mario Kart Double Dash for Gamecube hold a lot of nostalgic value for me, as do Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath and Burnout 3 for the Xbox.  In fact, even now i'd rather play any of those than a great majority the other games in my collection.  (Actually, i am in the middle of playing though Halo: CE yet again; the original, mind you, not the new remastered version [which i honestly wasn't impressed with])

Oh, and Gameboy, Pokemon is particular.  In fact, i'm pretty sure Sapphire was the first game i ever owned.  Also, LotR Return of the King was actually pretty fun.  Scratch that; it IS still pretty fun... although i will sadly admit that i still haven't beaten Gandalf's storyline yet.  x_x

And of course some old computer games as well.  Echo the Dolphin, C&C Generals and an some old Jane's Combat Simulations flight simulator games...  Kinda wish that last one still ran on my new computer...

Damn, now i want to play some of these games...  Not that i can complain much, since i still own all but two of them.

Of course i still play vintage video games, i actually collect the things :orraccoon: My first ever gaming experience i can remember was playing Pokemon Gold on my old gameboy color, pretty sure i still got it too.

My favorite old game would probably have to be Mario Kart for the SNES. But i have a lot of others i love too like Spyro and Tekken on PS1, Super Mario Bros 3 and Kirby's Adventure on the NES, Sly Cooper and Need For Speed: Most Wanted on the PS2, Phantasy Star and Shining Force on the Sega Genesis, and Hey You Pikachu! and Star Fox 64 from the beast itself, the N64.

I just started Chrono Trigger for the SNES and it is amazing. I also enjoy Paper Mario, Kirby Super Star, Kirby's Adventure, and Super Mario World. I usually prefer newer games, but these are a few that I just love despite how old they are.
