"Very well then, My skin can adapt to whatever is required of it, Your docking port, from what I sence, will not be that hard to adapt to. If I may as so venture to ask, Would it be against your polocies that I may sleep while in your dock? I will be unresponsive to any outside stimulus, as a result, I will not be able to move away from your dock given if it is needed."

The Kalga Slowly drifted towards the dock. Senceing the ship nearby in distress and quite basicly falling to peices it calmly reached out with an arm, and grabbed the ship, absorbing it through it's skin, brining it into the hanger bay, where it may very well be safer for the occupent.

Reaching out with it's mind it tried to contact the Avari waving at it. ~Thank you for your guidence, here to this planet and to this dock.  You and your race, powerful and wise that you are.~

Reaching out with modlable arms, it grabbed onto the poll, wrapping its self around it, and extending tube that matched the size of the port.

From the 'Command' room formed a hole, which then led to the newly formed connection.

~I have docked Jadnar.~

"Good, Alright," Standing up from the chair which then sunk back into the ground from which it came, I turned around to the others, "We are now currently docked with an Evari dock port, I'm figuring you'll want to get off soon, given the circumstances. The Avari themselves have the planet kept well protected, so it should be very well a safe place for us. I'm hopeing to talk to the Avari's themselves, see if I can get more information. Kalga Will be in rest, due to the extended useage of it's self, which means Kalga and I wil be in dock for a small while. If you decide that you need to get anywhere, We'll see if we can get you there. Untill then I'm pretty sure that your free to do as you want, acording to traditions and culture found on this planet. Questions?"

Terastas simply smiled and nodded at the complement from the Kalga, not really thinking himself to be either at the moment, but not about to reject a complement on behalf of his entire race.

"Connections confirmed," said the coordinator.  "Now releasing entry codes... Hey, where are you going?"

Terastas had stood up and was about to step down on the gravitational rotator.  "I'm going to welcome them on behalf of the Avari.  It was the wish of the elders that they be escorted here to-"

He was cut short when he stepped on the rotator, which tends to react on a split-second's notice.

Vrrrrrmmmm-CHK!!

Like every Avari before him, Terastas was launched from the 90 degree turn, stumbling down the runway until he finally landed face first.  He looked up and blink-blinked as the hatch opened for the Kalga right before him, sprawled out in front of it.

Fire flickered around Zairith, he oculd hear the screams of pain, anguish and rage.  The sour metallic tang of blood hung so thickly in the air he could almost taste it.  What was going on? where were his parents? where were his pack?  What was happening? He called out, but his voice was pathetically weak over the noise.  He called once more and he heard a strange voie, in a language that he did not understand.  He did not see the speaker, but he felt something hard hit against his head, he sprang away, over the flames, trying to get away ,get away from the screaming, the shouting the blood....what was happening.  He stopped in a small clearing then and the sounds faded away, his stomach seemed to drop away, everything seemed to be unreal, dreamlike.  There, his father nailed by his back legs to a tree, his genitals cut, he hung there swaying in the hot air of the flames, his sightless eyes straing in longing at his mate as she lay beneath him, her body still retaining its regality even though she had been so badly mutilated, her fur was burnt, both her back legs had been broken and blood caked her muzzle.....BANG.....silence, blessed releif from the sight.....all sound was gone....

Zairith gasped, his heart felt as though it had been ripped out and was no lying on the floor next to him.

"Why...."

He couldn't say the words he wnted to cry but through great sense of self he managed to control himself.

"Why am I remembering this? what has happened t othe neural links?"

"It appears that they were damaged, they are being repaired now."

The memories evaporated, but he could still remember the images and tears began to trickle down his face.

There is nothing more crippling to the meta-physical universe in which we live than extreme negative emotions, so it is said.  This pain, this scarring was not physical, it was deep seated and it tore the fabric of space around him, sending out a small wave of misery, a great and terrible feeling.  Zairith sat up and trying to forget everything that had just gone through his mind.

He activated the health field around himself trying to repair some of the physical damage.

"Why arent' we dead yet?"

The computers voice responded as always.

"It appears that the ship has absorbed us and since there is no imbalance in pressure the ship we are on is managed to keep itself together.  We are back on the station however."

"Dammit."

He scrambled up realising that he was still very weak and clutching hold of the console.  He managed to stagger out of the control room.

"Computer, back yourself up and all information I'm carrying at the moment."

"Done."

"Now tansfer your main program into my mind."

There was suddenly a rush of voices, memories and then he was back int he real world.  It never got any easier, but he didn't really mind it anymore, it was qutie a rush.

He managed to find an exit and fell out of the ship, hitting the floor, which was thankfully not too far down.  The field still managing to heal more damage.  He walked over to a wall (one of Kalga's) there appeared to be no one around.  THis ship must be extremely sophisticated to do what it had done, there must be computers running through the walls He slammed his neural interface deep into the wall and sought a connection.  There had to be something here, information of some value.  He knelt down, realising that if he did not he would fall over.

Trustor stood up at Jadnar’s direction listening to the equine explain there new location.  Shaking the fur on his head briskly, Trustor always shook to help his circulation after the a jump.

Trustor offered a paw to Alex to help him up and speaking, “Well at least it seems we’re not under attack anymore.”.  Trustor tilted his head his eyes contemplating the wolf’s composure, “Perhaps we can now find someone to ask some questions and then decide what we wish to do.”

Trustor looked at himself his clothes were torn and dirty.   He was going to be representing his clan yet he was quite a mess, “Honestly I am not very presentable for social contact.”, he looked to Alex his tail beginning to wag with a smile, “Some soap, water, or even a quick enzyme scrub could be handy.”

Trustor looked to Jadnar, “Are there any “cleaning” facilities here on the Kalga?

(OOC: Tis alright Bluegreenman Planty thingy-ma-bob furson ^_^)

"I'm fine, Just a headache. I'm not as tightly connected to Kalga as you are to your elders. I figure it has something to do with the fact that Kalga and I are two diffrent species, your is your own species. I figure a stronger connection results from that. Though there is something new that Kalga has found..

There is a new planet in the Space Ways. Well not old, but reintroduced."

Shaking my head, I decided that Now wasn't the time to try and explain something that I myself couldn't understand very well. The elevator slowly came to a stop at the bottom of it's tran and the doors slid open, the new fresh air flowed in, causing my headache to turn into a swirling dizzy mess. My vision soon cleared and Looked about the outside world.

Planet side, so.. unusual, yet home. I shook my head again, no this isn't home, it is alien. Kalga is home. Haroak Is my home, This is Evari, a diffrent planet.

**Switch to Kalga**

It came, a friend, yet stranger. I trusted it comepletly and totally. Maybe this was programmed into me, but I did not care. This was my creator! Maybe not this particular specimen, but to see the race that created you far before many of the worlds discovered way runners, muchless the way, is simply aw inspiring. I accepted it's request whole heartedly, pulling him, and the ship it had grabbed into me.

~Creator, You have come. You have brought back the world that was once dead. It lives once again. You were successful. I can go home once again, and see it once more. What news have you of the new world?~

Impatience was suddenly an aquired charateristic. Kalga was always patient, but 2000 years of waiting weighs on one's mind for very long time.

~The ship that we have now taken aboard, has shut itself down. A life form has emerged from it... It is attempting to access my nural network. Fortunatly my defensive mechanisms have pulled all the nural webs from the area he is attacking at, I must have it removed. He doesn't understand the damage he may incure in my mind.~

"Alright Kalga, I'll get down there as soon as I can."

Looking towards Trustor I finally was able to have a good look at what Kalga refered to as the Similar. He looked to be respectable. Not your run of the line person mind you. He looked to be military though, his clothes signified that. I looked at a small patch, slightly dirty, smuged, but I can just make out what it is.. I couldn't read it. It was too much of a diffrent language. I'll have to find a data terminal and look it up.

"Cleaning Facilities? Oh.. yes. of course," Looking over at one of the walls and then to the otherside of the room, I had a sort of lost expresion in my face, "Umm.. I've never really had to use such. Kalga's organic membranes have been able to keep me clean through all these years, just a moment."

"Kalga... Do you have a place for people to clean up in?"

~Yes, I do. I'm surprised you haven't asked sooner.~ Kalga then spoke to both of us at once. ~You should be able to find something of the sort that you ask here.~ A picture was formed in our minds, showing location, ways of getting there. It was all there in a split secound.

"Thanks Kalga," nodding towards Trustor and the others I headed down to the hanger deck to see about this intruder.

Alex yawned widely, and shook himself vigoursly. He winched, as his body ached all over. Once Alex opened his eyes he saw Trustor, his paw outstreched to help him up. Alex nodded at Trustor's suggestion. "Yes. The Avari have to know something. I want to know what's going on".

Alex then smiled at the fuss Trustor was making on his apperance. "Yeah. You could do with a good scrub". Alex then looked at himself. His fur was matted and coated in a thin layer of dirt, and his favourite shirt sodden and torn. "Seems I'm no better off than you, Trustor. We'll get cleaned up now, and ask questions later".

Terastas's eyes were blurred, but it was easy enough to determine who was talking to him.  Obviously, the elevator never made any stops on the way down.

"The... The elders," he muttered.  "They... They tried to sheild the Kalga, and... They got attacked instead."  He sat up and squinted painfully, rubbing the back of his head.  "At least that's what I think happened.  As I said before, we are very close to the elders.  Their strength is our strength, and... Apparently so is their pain."  He looked up at Jandar.  "What about you?  Are you okay?"

Babel watched as more joined the ships motley crew, Some surviours of the attack he had seen others he hadn't a clue who they where. He had re-attaced his arm befor they had slipstreamed, and now as the huge ship had emerged his arm had given the reading of there not only being some sort of station near this ships position. There was something else his arm had scanned the new "intruder" as it where on board. Something seemed familliure about the readings he was getting. Nothing certain but definatly something he had seen befor but where. He watched the ships owner *hehe or is it keeper he thought to himself after all it is alive*  move towards the corridor he had come through when he had first arrived. He decided he had to know .
" HEY HEY " he ran after him " Hey umm god darn it what your name hey " He caught up with the figure just as he reached the corridor entrance.
"Your going to meet the latest addition here"
He turned to face Babel
" I must attend to it and make sure that it is ok and to make it aware of the situation it is in"
" Well ummm this is gonna sound strange but I sort of recognise, hmm how can I say it"
" You arms device has given you details on the intruder yes"
Babel smiled uncomfortably
"yeah thats it in a nut shell well what I want to know is could I accoumpany you. I wont get in your way I promise I just want to see things for myself"
" So what you say " Babel looked at the figure in front of him and waited for a reply.

"Well, if you must, follow me. Kalga senced it trying to attack it's nural net. He must be some form of advanced hacker, or computer jocky. If he gets into Kalga's mind, then this person could very well hurt Kalga irreperally. If we are to get there in time, we must hurry."

Looking the bear creature over quickly. I twisted quickly on my heal, and headed down the corridor in a hurried fashion.

"Kalga, if I need to, I'll have to defend myself, I'm sure you will assist right?"

~Of course! I can not idely standby and watch my friend get hurt meaninglesly.~

Of course Babel didn't hear Kalga's reply, which seemed to make the conversation one sided.

"Kalga says that it will help in defense, So just stand back and just watch out."

He could almost feel the connecrtion slipping away from him and it shocked him, could computers do that? it had never happened before.

"Start program 71X, let's crack this egg, I wanna know what's hidding inside."

The program pulsed down his implant and straight int othe wall looking for the neural nets.  Binary flasshed across his eyes, more and more, filling his vision, he seemed to be reading it.

"Damm the encryption on this thing is ridiculous....Run Breaker19."

Another pulse, a worm, it could search far faster than just sticking his implant in random areas.  He oculd feel the connection coming closer, but itwas taking so long, it wasl ike chiping away at concrete, the Binary vanished as the door opened giving him a clear view of the two figures that entered through the doors....

He clikced his tongue in annoyence, he was facinated by this engima that had been presented to him, he couldn't resist it, he had to crack it, he had to leave his programs running, however this would limit his movement.  That owuldn't matter for now though.  Alhtough he hadn't fully healed, it was enough for him to stand, there was a slight shimmer as the health shield disappeared instead they found themselves staring at the wolf like creatures arm.  on the arm there seeemd t obe something twisted around it.  Some sort of...ife form? and it was glowing with a soft light, it looked extremely ominous.

The wolf like creature looked fairly wiry, also (to other wolves perhaps) relatively young, he wore a pair of ripped jeans and a belt, his feet were bear and clawed and his furry chest was lean.  There was no fat on him, just muscle.  One of his arms seemed to be pointing at the wall and extending from it was a silverl ike projection that stuck into Kalga's wall.

"Take another step and I swear to whatever god you elieve in, you won't be anything more than a smear on that door.

Where the ***** am I? who are you? do you work for any enforcment agencies?"

The computer whispered in his ear as he stared at the two.

"Breaker19...76% complete, neural detection positive, attempting to break encrytiption...It appears to be a very complicated set of instructions it might take a long while."

"Keep going."

The wolf like creature appeared to say to no one in particular.

"Answer me?"

He said looking at babel and Jadnar.

"You will Remove that Immediatly from Kalga. NOW! If you do penetrate into Kalga's mind you will damage it, Causing Kalga to die. Retract, or I will be forced to protect my friend." My voice was both bellowing, deep, and mad. I had no want to hurt this person, but if it ment that he wasn't going to stop, Then Kalga could be hurt, and potentially brain damaged. I will not have that.

"Again, stop your attempts, Or I'll be forced to use action on you. I'm not afraid of you, so don't try and pull anything."

Reaching out to Kalga's mind I could feel it.

I whispered to it with my mind. ~If he resists, I'd recommend a mild shock, enough to nock him out.~

~if I must, I will kill him.~

~It shouldn't come to that.~

Babal squinted at the newcommer and something deep back in his past started to come forward.
Babel stepped forward past Jadnar.

The next couple of htings happened very quickly.

As babel took a step forwards it seemed that the thing on the lupine like creatures arm moved and the colour of the soft glow of the creature changed, there was no `light show` one second babel was standing there, the next moment he was being lifted of his feet, every nerve in his body being stimulated at once, hyper polarised in an instant.

"Do you think, I'm arsing around here?"

He kept up the front, but since he wasn't at full strength that pulse had taken a lot out of him, the life form using HIS energy to make the pulse possible.  Hooked into Kalga as he was, it was possible for her to sense this, since he htinks that she is merely a ocmputer he doesn't know this hwowever.

"Hurt who? it's a computer, Jeez I've heard of people growing attached to their equipment but actually thinking I'm going to do brain damage to it, that's pretty screwed up."

He was confused, and he didn't know how many pulses he could afford before he lost the energy to do them at all.  What was going on? who were these people? how did that guy know him?

Something flashed in his mind and he was distracted, the programs paused mrere seconds before cracking through prelim encrytption the face had triggered something inside of him.  seering pain went through his mind, he tried to focus on the two figures standing in front of him and told his computer to resume, he had to find out what was going on and what better to explain it than a computer.....

Thankfully, nobody came out in time to see the representative of the Avari people with his tail in the air to welcome them.  It saved him the embarrassment, but it also left a nagging feeling in his mind... No, not a nagging feeling; Avari never got those sort of things.  It was the rest of his people down below searching for answers.

The metallic hatch slid open and Terastas stood up, bewildered by what he saw on the other end.

"Eeew!" he heard the coordinator say.  "They actually fly around in that thing?!  Hey kitten, I wouldn't go in there if I were you; it looks like a rolapin's colon or something!"

Terastas dismissed her comments, though for fear of the uknown, he did take her advice at first, stepping out onto the edge and peering into the interior of the Kalga.

"Hello?" he called out.  "Anybody in here?"

AHHHHHH DAM that hurt you jerk Babel thought. Ok he put his hand to his nose it was bleeding freely. Babel shakely got to his feet Jadnar was screeming at the wolf  to stop he was hurting the ship. Babel wan't to sure of what he ment by it but figured it wernt good. As the wolf became distracted by Jadnar Babel took his chance.
He manadged to get behind the wolf. Raising his arm he charged him. As soon as the wolf heard him comeing he moved round bringing the strange orb to bear on him again.
But befor he had a chance to use it  Babel touched his arm.
"Not this time pal"
In his head he formed the word discharge 15%
A crackle of energy pulsedtrough his arm and in to the wolf . The wolf grinned
"not good enough" and tried to shake his grip.
"Ok then hows this " in his mind again he form the thought 50% A blue arc of electricity jumped from his hand along the wolf body the jolt knocked the wolf to the floor.
Befor he could move agin Babel placed his hand on him once again.
"Just one more trick and next time you aint getting up wolf boy "
"Now  tell me whoare you??!!!"

There was far too much happening the first electric shock made him jump shockwaves moving into Kalga as he hurt.  Then the larger charged knocked him flat on his back taking his breath away and quckly unplugging the connection.  the added pain of such a sudden disconnect racked through him and when babel spoke to him, he couldn't open his eyes or even respond, slowly though the real world came back to him.  He heard the question.

"I tell you what."

He said and paused then he shoved Babel as hard as he could managing to get weapon loose from the weight.

"If I'm going down, I won't be the only one....You can tell whoever you work for that if they want information they're going to have to pay for it and if you're enforcers then yo ucan go...."

He paused bristling, his hackles rose and he looked double his actual size.

"I am no Enforcer, I work for no one, and i will not get lost. this is my friend that your aboard. This ship, is kalga, Kalga is a living creature. I have been with it for many years now. If you think I'll simply leave, you have another thing coming."

Right now I was both torn between yelling at Babel for his interference in a possibly very risky move. his actions could of damaged Kalga even more then this idiot could of. Those electric shocks could have been transmitted into kalga's nural network. It wouldn't have been pretty.

~Are you alright Kalga?~

~I am fine.... I must sleep. Tired.~ There was nothing more. Kalga will be resting for about a week now.

What am I going to do with this person. He is aperently running, from someone.. Enforcers. Something more to look up.

I felt no remorse to this creature. He tried to hurt Kalga, That's all the proof I needed. I would gladly hand this person over.

"Get up."

The wolf like creature stood up slowly and slightly uneasily, the sudden break in connection had still not fully managed to cure itself.  The bear like creature started talking quickly to him, there was something, but it was distant a prison? had he ever been in a prision? a pain that might have been a knife sliced through his brain and he clutched his head wincing with the pain it passed slowly and he looked up at the other person addressing him.

"My Name is Zairith, I'm an information trafficer, people pay me to get hold of information and then I get it for them.  There are people that odn't like to be....involved with it's aquisition.  I managed to grab something off the station that you've now brought me back to."

HJis voice was not accusatory.

"As for your `friend`."

He patted the wall

"I'm sorry, but it is fascinating, I've never seen something so complicated, I had nearly cracked the puzzle as well, everything was falling into place.  Yeah I didn't really understand what yo uwere talking about, but now it makes sense.  It's to sophisticated to be silicon based I hsould have known that there must be some sort of biologicval components."

Terastas's eyes blinked, amazed by the formality with which Trustor spoke.  He was suddenly forgetting much of what he had learned in his centuries of studying at the Monastery.

"Uh... Hi."  He gave a slight wave of greeting, then corrected his mistake and bowed his head as the Avari did with true respect.  "It is an honor to meet you, both of you.  As for your questions... I know not if I have the answers, but..."

He stopped talking when Jandar, obviously the captain by his demeanor, came into sight.  He stepped back hesitantly, not wanting to cause trouble for someone that had already dealt with enough.

"Perhaps this is not a good time," he said as he stepped back.  "Though on behalf of the Avari, you are all welcome to our planet of Eravia."  He bowed farewell and began to walk backwards.  "The docking station's gravity is difficult to adjust to, so I will be waiting for you at the end of the Dock 4 runway.  I will explain all that I can there."

Trustor’s ears perked as he heard a voice around the corner say “Hello? Anybody there?”  Turning his head he saw a tiger peeking in.  This must be the Avari Kalga and Jadnar had mentioned.  Trustor had hoped to be in better presentation before representing his clan.  But that would need to wait.  Karathian protocol was to show competence, pride, and the upmost respect to any non-agressive race especially new contacts.

Trustor turned and faced the tiger.  Standing tall Trustor acknowledged the new comer with a warm smile, “Well met good Avari.”  “I’m sure the captain would of wished to meet you.” “ But he was called on account of one of the passengers I believe.” Trustor nodded his head respectfully, “Myself I am Trustor Karathian Medic/Surgeon, A-11 sub-b reg code 66212.”, Trustor continued, “I must apologize if my appearance is too disrespectful.  It is a result of recent combat and there has been little time to make oneself respectfully presentable.  But regardless I do wish to give my sincere thanks to you and your people for our timely rescue.”  Trustor turned to Alex, “This here is my friend Alex, he saved my life.” Trustor continued talking to the Avari, “I’m sure the captain will return soon.  But when you have some time we both have some questions we would hope you could answer?”

Glaring at the wolf, his explanations were doing nothing to calm my nerves... I wanted to break his neck right here and now, finish the job, and chuck him out the nearest orafice.

Closing my eyes, I take a deep breath, then another, letting it flow out of my nose, as I relaxed myself, unclenching my fists. I musen't let my emotions get to me. I've learned that lesson too many times.

Opening my eyes, I was once again nearly clenching my fists again when I saw the wolf again. Catching myself I relaxed them, another deep breath. This was taking more self control then it really needed.

With a calm voice I spoke, "Have you ever heard the saying, that curiosity killed the Catathin? This ship may be more advanced then anything you have seen, but the puzzel pieces could very well have destroyed the puzzel it's self and the solver. Kalga is ancient. Far more ancient then some of the worlds. It knows more then any of us could dream of, but it is still vunerable. It can still feel pain, it can still be hurt. Kalga and I only know of one other like it, We met it, face to face, a free floater, without a companion. We don't know if there are others out there, Kalga could very well be the last of it's kind. Kalga, is living, thinking, breathing, consuming creature. I requires what we require. In fact, it has just fallen asleep, it won't wake for another week. Mean while, I have to figure out what to do with you, the people that Kalga and I managed to rescue, and what to do with this new menace that had caused Kalga it's self to FEAR!

I don't care what you do, what your name is, what it is that you want. I don't want to see you again, Your a menace to Kalga, and to myself. First impressions stick. I'm not about to trust you again."

With that I turned around, and walked back up the corridor again. With Kalga asleep it's nural pathways were dorment, this.... hacker wouldn't be able to access it even if he wanted to. And this Babel.... he looks like he can handle him. Any longer there, and I'd throw him in the ceiling and use one of the damaged ships to impale him with. It is a wonder I didn't use telekinetics on him.

I reached the command bridge, finally. I saw the similar talking to a new person. It must of been an Avari. I wasn't one for first contacts, and when I'm mad, I'm mad. I wasn't going to wait, nor was I going to be kind.

"Now why is it that I saved a bunch of people That I don't know and potentially putting risk to Kalga? What the Vphak Going on around here." I had both fire in my eyes, and fists clenched once agian. I'm not happy.
