Can science solve/explain everything?

Continuing along the line of what I said earlier, philosophy deals primarily in things that are subjective, and the same could be said of ethics.

Religion, on the other hand, does not belong in that category because it can and does make testable claims. And thus science can and does give answer for it, much to the dismay of religion. It's because science consistently shows religion's testable claims to be false that religion has been pushed to take a more and more untestable position. This is why religion may appear to not overlap with science. This claim of "non-overlapping magisteria" is really just a defensive mechanism meant to protect religion from scientific investigation.

Well, obviously science can't explain everything. Our science, at least. We're talking about everything, after all. That said, science will definitely continue to make great advances, so our knowledge and understanding of many things will continue in turn. Maybe someday we'll be able to understand the universe. Long way off, if so.

The search for knowledge (Science) continues in many areas. I
feel as long as life exists no matter it's form will continue
to gain gain Knowledge to improve it's existance. It may not
be conscious knowledge, but even genetic strands hold information
about the past.

The study of the material universe requires people coming up
with new theories and ways to test them. If life persists long
enough, then all knowledge should be learned. But I imagine the
visible universe will likely become dust before that happens.

As we know those who search for knowlege find more questions
than they do answers.
