Need help with banner

Hi everyone! If any of you have experience with art and/or making banners i would greatly appreciate some help with this banner that i have been working on. Right now i think it looks absolutely horrible and i just cant make it look good! Could any of you help me out? If you want to perfect it ill give you credit!

The design is good, but looks rather flat as is. You might try making it brighter
with highlights, and perhaps some light reflections. Kind of a glossy look.

If you have Gimp or photoshop do the highlights, and reflections on layers.

Might even do some exaggerations for fun.

What is this banner for?

The biggest problem is the nasty pixely white edges on everything.

I'm not sure, maybe that's the look you were going for, but it looks like little kid handwriting. The paw-print looks pretty good though (minus the aforementioned edge.) The choice of color scheme seems a bit odd, though I could see it possibly working, again depending on what you are going for.

I think a vector based art program would give you better results, if you have one available. Something like Illustrator. I'm pretty sure there are free programs that do that kind of thing if you don't have Illustrator available.

What kind of banner are you making?  :)  Where will it be used?
