Favourate ingredients to cook with?

I did find an old post on this (from 2006) but I don't want to break the gravedigging rule :P

So what is you favourate ingredients to cook with? This includes spices and stuff as well  ;)

Here is my list:
- Onion
- Chili powder
- Firm tofu (marinated)
- Glass noodles (and other noodles. I haven't really made any other noodles that aren't instant noodles or glass noodles yet)
- Soy sauce
- Garam masala
- Chili powder
- Sweet potatoe
- Spinach
- Red kidney beans (and other lentils)
- Carrots
- Olive oil (Otherwise everything sticks  :-[)
- Pumpkin and Sunflower seeds
- Cashews
- Rice

Rice noodles
Mushrooms: pretty much all the edible ones.
Potatoes
Soy ground
Tomato sauce
Onion: all types
Crawfish
Tilapia
Egg
Pepper: all are welcome except for habinero and his bigger siblings, their nothin but trouble
All beans
And much more.

Potatoes are good! Pretty much I specialize in cooking anything I can just dump in a crock pot and leave :P. I'm not so good with cooking things in pans though, I always feel like I have to stir constantly even if it's not needed. Broth and frozen veggies are awesome, always have plenty of variety on hand.

Cheese. Cheese on everything... :D. Actually, fresh cheeses only - the stuff that comes out of a freezer bag (and somehow doesn't require refrigeration after defrosting) is just nasty.  :P

And crushed red peppers are always good.

The three most important ingredients for food:

Salt

Butter

Cheese

If it doesn't have at least one of the three, and it's not fruit, it's probably not going to taste very good.  BEWARE: Using all three of these at once can have dangerously flavorful consequences, and it is inadvisable to do so without training.
