Okay... Here's a question
« on: November 11, 2003, 04:32:08 pm »
Well... I've been trying to weedle my way back into the furry world and such, but there's one thing that holds me back. What the heck am I? I'm trying to see if I can keep back from the hybrids. Been thinking about being a Felupequine (feline + lupeine + equine). Though..... I want to ask a quesiton..

What sort of animal holds these qualities? I mean Just a plain old animal, no hybrid or anything. I don't know enough to really get a good idea of what would be me. Okay, here goes.....

-Endurence (I can go very long distances if I really wanted)
-Independence (I am very independent, to the point that I am a nation onto myself)
-Arrogent (Very much so, not a shining charateristic, but dat's who I am)
-Tall, thin, but having a bit of a natrual light build.
-Highly adaptable
-Low tolerence of stupidity
-Patience in being able to wait, but non for others. (again arrogence)
-Inability to be able to make decisions with sureity (is that even a word?)
-Quiet, rarely outspoken, not wanting to be the center of attention.
-Neatly dressed, not one to do weird things
-A want for intelligence
-A dream chaser
-Idealist
-Standing in the Box (I'm neither in it or out of it, ya know, thinking out of the box type of thing?)

Those are the sort of things I can think of off the top of me head. If ya need something else you can look at the bottom of this page: http://www.solarshock.furtopia.org/aboutme.htm

I put this here as it seems to be the best spot. Thanks for your help and all. Or even if you actually read this far.

Well... Lesse..

The Cat, I've contemplated at long, but I am terribly incapable of drawing cats, I've tried and tried and looked at cats. So Floofy on those things. :/

I'm not too wild bout foxies, no offense or anything. But alot of the foxes I've seen are a tad too quirky.

Now.. for them other suggestions katty...

Unicorn - An intersting concept, though I'm not really intersted in the mystical beasts. I can see those taking on many diffrent forms of thought ans souch.

The Ki-Rin, Chi-Lin I have of similar thought.

Though I did some major investigation into the Thylacine.... And so far, I love it. It is just... wow. I'll do more reasearch into that puppy, er.. marsupial.

Anyways, Thanks Katty. The Thylacine sounds like my best bet so far, has all the qualities I'm looking for thus far. ^.^

Personally I don't think you need to pick an animal that represents you. I picked wolf cause they're cool. I'm probably more like a fox or a feline, but that's not what I choose to be. So I say just pick an animal that appeals to you. '<img'>

Jason...

The only one who can answer your question really is you.  The traits you listed are traits which could easily be applied to a number of animals, including humans.  A question which I think should be posed now is...

Why label yourself sometihng inparticular if you haven't really got any connections or feelings toward it?  Why bother to pick a speicies?

Just be you..., with the qualities you listed, and use them to enhance your life.  Don't worry so much with labels.  They only end up getting peeled off the jars half the time anyway, and no one ever knows what the mysterious tin can holds, that is... until they open it and delve into the contents.  Worry less about name and more about your contents... that is who people will be getting to know when meeting and interacting with you.

im guessing i am a fox because i had a dream i was one. i don't think you choose your animal, i think your animal chooses you. when the time is right, you will know what you are supposed to be.

Good Words River, It does make alot of sense. *nods*

Vulpes, Sounds like the sort of fashion that 'weres' find themselves. Though through my experince, Weres and Furs are pretty much the same, just one is a tad bit more uptight then the other.

Hmm, maybe I'm a "were" then. I didn't choose lynx, it chose me. I never mentally shift into a complete lynx mindset though. Oh well, I'm gonna remain a furry. Don't really have a choice in being one '<img'>

Thats the same way it is with me. I seem to fit into both categories. However, in my experience, the therians seem to be more uptight than furs, and as a result I only hang around furry sites.

Ive put a lot of thought into this myself, and I have come up with the conclusion that I am me, what my fursona looks like on the outside really has nothing to do with who i am on the inside and i have to many quirks to associate majorly with any one anmial. So im just gonna go with an animal I like, namley an otter, there isnt any particualr reason for this except for the fact that I happen to like RPing as an otter, and like otters in general '<img'>

Katty: I'm still contemplating stuff. I haven't really settled on anything as of yet.

Therins, I do agree, are quite uptight, and don't know how to loosen up. It really is kinda hard talking with them. I just think that Furries and Therins are the same, just one knows how to be more communicative, the other just... makes good stones. o.O No offence ment to you therins whom do run around here.

I have pretty much given up on finding a creature that I am most similar to. Like Kale, I think a person has just too many quirks to really claim yourself to just one species. Soo... I'm going to just throw together a whole bunch of creatures into one, throw some sci-fi onto it, sprinkle some behaviour on it, and see what comes out of the oven.

So far... only one concept sketch, that I've bothered to scan in, and it really has nothing to do with the actual speices, just some various equipment really. Various thingies.

I'm the same way. I want fur and claws, but I also am a big fan of stuff like Redwall, Watership Down, Animal Crossing, ect.

Weres are uptight? ':.' go to http://www.swampfox.demon.co.uk/utlah/Articles/ and tell me how uptight weres are.
