Unrestrained imagination.

EDIT: Make that *mostly* unrestrained.

What Sava said. *nods* '<img'>

When I find an artist's site with drawings or paintings I really like, I can spend whole evenings admiring it, and making sketches trying to learn from them. For some reason, I feel much stronger emotions with good pieces of art from our own little community, than with mainstream art.

I like the amount of creativity you can find. I love the stories and the art work. The amount of variety of furry artwork and stories. The furry fandom is just overwhelmed with ideas.

There's so much I love about being Furry but my favorite aspect you ask, would have to be the art which is my passion and strongest talent... '<img'>

My favorite aspect of furry would have to be the literature.

I however do love the other people they are so open... combine that with my love of anthropomorphics and you got a very good community and some of the best drawings/paintings or literature I have seen.  '<img'>

I like the fact that there's other furs here that I can talk to and that I'm not alone. I also like the fact that we are all (at least I hope we are) a very friendly and supportive group to any furson who needs help with anything. This, at least in my opinion, is what makes Furtopia such a great place.

The artwork is also great too, by the way!  '<img'>

My favorite aspects of furry are knowing that I can relate to someone and everyone is so nice....and I love the art

I like the literature, the artwork, the acceptance.  Not in any particular order, either - I've run into a fair number of furs who act the same way I do, and it's not so easy to find people like that near me IRL.

That's an extremely hard question as there is so much that I enjoy.  However I would have to say the best thing is the sense of community within the fandom and the ability to create strong friendships with people all over the world.

I've made friends in Spain, Netherlands, and the UK, plus all across the US including Hawaii and Alaska since I became an active fur.  The ability to do this is truely the greatest part of the fandom to me.

And, the most important relationship in my life, the one with my current SO came from the furry fandom so meeting other furs whether online or RL is definitely the best part for me.  '<img'>

I'd say art, literature, music, and of course being accepted for who, not what, you are.

I like about all of it, the art, writings, openness of the culture. In 4 months of being online as a furry I have made more friends, and from all over the world, than I ever dreamed of. Now I want to start meeting them IRL .

Furries are a lot friendlier and accepting of who you are.  I find in general that furs are more likely to actually listen to what you have to say.

Also, I enjoy the rich artistic environment the fandom brings (mainly drawing).

As for what I don't like about the fandom....  I hate furverts.

The home cookin' and mud-wrasslin' aside, I'd say that my favorite aspect of furry is in the very atmosphere largely established and maintained here.  That atmosphere is one of inclusion rather than exclusion, and it is one in which there is great diversity together with the harmonious reconciliation of individual differences, which are actually welcomed!  The lion can indeed lie down with the lamb here, although they might get hugged.

Lots of people elsewhere build walls rather than bridges, and engage in us-versus-them thinking.  There's not much of that here, where diversity is not only OK, but even encouraged and celebrated!  In general, I find that the typical fur (if there is such a thing) is often more sensitive, more open-minded, and probably more artistic or artistically-oriented than the general individual.  Learning from and supporting one another is what a community is all about, and no one does it better than Furtopia, at least from what I have seen.

Of course, the home cookin' and mud-wrasslin' are pretty good, too...     '<img'>

I agree 100% Im one who can tend more to building walls but its in the past been a survival tactic. Afraid of being judged afraid of being hurt. Its different with the Furry community. I dont have that fear. I even enjoy a nightly chat with other Furs via aol. Im not alone anymore.

Silverhair, I agree too, cant stand furverts only met one so far tho.

The fact that I can explore this side of me with out the fear of riddacule or idiotic comments . I can ask others on there opinions or help and give help and opinions without the feeling that its not right or out of place. Furries like a fair few groups who arent thought to highly of  are very excepting freindly people and I enjoy all those that talk to me and I talk tosimple as that.  '<img'>   '<img'>

I have to say its the people. I've never seen a more open and caring group, ever. I love the art too, but for me definitly, definitly the people!  '<img'>

Definitely the atmosphere. The fact that almost all furries are kind and accepting is a nice break from the world... Besides that, the art and the literature.

':?:'

The same as BlutWulf I think.  I really enjoy the warm, friendly atmosphere; being accepted and meeting really cool people.   '<img'>

On the creative side I love the literature, finding good furry stories helped me get my brain into gear and start writing again.  Not to mention the incredible artwork, I'm finding better and better stuff everyday (most of it right here on this site).  Though I havent heard much of the music  ''  but what I have heard is great too.

Just being creative and being able to express myself in a supportive and non-judgemental environment...just being ME.
I guess thats my favourite aspect of being furry.

I love the decreased level of PRETENSION I tend to see in the furry community.

Just one way that this is true is in the 'famous furries' out there. Undeniably there are some folks out there who anyone's who's been in the fandom for a while will know. When said people get off their computer and go to work, however, chances are they're just like the general populace. Hence, every 'famous fur' I personally have had the pleasure of speaking with in passing has been very polite and open.

That's just one example, but it jumped straight to mind.

Same here.  Some of them were quite different from what I expected (like Bernard Doove, the Chakat creator, and the artist Sidian; Ch'marr was about what I expected except for the accent) but they were very neat, polite, and willing to talk and answer questions.
