Hope you get to feeling better soon Jade.

Working on my biggest Christmas prop yet. The deer I made a few years ago is 44 by 36 wide. Stands on all fours and has saddle bags on both sides filled with faked antique candy boxes. This year I'm making a stand up fire place. Out of the cardboard box my lawn mower came in. It will be 44 wide. 41 inches tall. The fire place will be nine inches deep with a 14 inch deep base. Fire box will be >9 deep by 24 wide and 26 1/2 tall.  Don't know if I'll have time to make the fake logs this year. The fire place will be mostly cardboard. Soothed out with a home made polymer and paper mache'. To keep it light all the supports will be out of cardboard. The mantle and base will be styrofoam. Be something I'll be able to carry around. Lug it up or down stairs. Depending on where I decide to store it.

Trying to get my back to stop spasming.  I slipped a disk.
Getting tired of this.
Going to see doc on Monday.

So I am taking it easy.  Too bad I damaged my back when I was in my twenties... it never got better.  That is a long time to have this pain.

Found out today my brother had an accident. He's fine and no one else got hurt. Just a fender bender but it was with my mom's car. She's already said she doesn't want me to buy her a new one. I know she can't afford it nor can she afford payments. She'll get a new one before i spend $7k+ to fix her old one.

Received notice from my healthcare group that they experienced a ransomware attack earlier this month. My data may be compromised, including my SSN and credit card info. They provided a free ID protection account with a special code to apply. Yet the protection firm hasn't responded to confirm my account. It's been several days.

Yesterday evening, it was discovered that my account on a hobby forum had been upgraded. Surprising in that I hadn't been there in two weeks. So the upgrade was cancelled and password changed. Won't be another two weeks until the credit card statement arrives.

Taking my time with the Christmas decking. No real reason to rush. The old fashioned looking LED C7s around the front window and door look, old fashioned.  :D They are super bright outside. Feels good to make the whole neighborhood glow. Look awesome on the main tree as well. Decided to go with a table top 1970's 'bottle brush' tree instead of the aluminum tree. Along with the main tree there will also be the three foot fake feather tree. I'll start the 8+ hour ornament hanging on the main tree tomorrow. A lot of work.  But family, friends and folks that come by always enjoy it. Makes all this work worth it. to be honest, if it was just me I'd still do it. I'm worth it. :)

Anything that has to do with potatoes that isn't mashed, baked or fried. Don't all rotten my potatoes.
Boxed stuffing. I know it takes up to six hours longer to cook a fully stuffed turkey. But that's the only way I'll cook one. Even have to cook the onions, carrots and celery (mirepoix ) the night before. I made stuffing with home made bread once. The flavor of the bread was to strong. So I make it with the store bought bread from now on. The turkey itself has a better flavor when stuffed. One thing I'll never do again is cook turkey with wine. For some reason that's not a good combo.
Turducken. Nuf said.  :D
