Anthropomorphic animal or feral?
« on: April 06, 2017, 12:43:57 pm »
Part of the furry fandome is the fantasy of being an animal
character. Human like or feral. Some primative tribes of
humans believed they had animal spirits. Some may have
believed they would become an aimal in the after life.

Some cultures believe in reincarnation where they are reborn
as an animal or other creature.

Perhaps our life force will move to another body after we die. But
if we can't remember the one before it wouldn't matter anyway.
some under hypnosus have become aware of past lives, but this
may ownly be due to suggestion or some internal desire.

I would likely choose anthropomorphic rabbit or hare. Not a
feral one. I am not fond of the idea of recycling my food.  :D

Oof... I don't know about this one. Definitely not a taur, but I'm doubting between anthro or feral feline... Probably anthro, because that'll let me keep the most human abilities. Also I really like music, and this way it's easier to listen to it. On the other paw I'm fairly smart, so if I'm a feral I should be able to do things most ferals can't by using my mind. Most things becomes a puzzle for me, so my everyday life suddenly would be very interesting. Either way it'll make my cat-like quirks less odd.

I'd be either a taur or an anthro. Probably taur. Flexible on species.

I have always felt the Taur body gives the advantages of both Feral and anthro.
To run and jump like a feral beast and have the dexterity  of a humanoid for
hobbies and other human activities.

Anyway.........this poll isn't all that surprising. Go to any furry forum, website, con, etc. and you'll find that if you asked the same thing, that at least 75-90% of participants would say they'd want to be in an anthropomorphic form.

Anthro of course. Can't do what needs doing without opposable thumbs.

Anthro since its more practical. Wouldn't mind being able to shape shift into feral (why is it called like that anyway?) just for the fun of it though :3

Anthro all the way. I like cooking and having running water. I don't like parasites.
It's been said that rats can gain access to your home by climbing up threw your toilet. I prefer to use the front door.

Taur might be nice. In a practical sense, I'd say anthro. Like Loc, flexible on species. Naga might also be nice.

Aury> I find this poll to be somewhat confusing.

Why are anthro reptiles listed separately?
Shouldn't dragons probably be listed under feral? (Assuming that anthro dragons would just be listed under anthro)

Assuming my full shape-shafting grey-goo (nanotech) form isn't available, I'd be an anthro hyena-dragon. Not sure where that fits in here.
Syr> For myself, its easier. Anthro saberhyena, clearly in the anthro category. :P

Sorry, perhaps I should have not separated Dragons
or reptiles. I thought since Dragons often are in stories
alone they should be separate. I was in a MMO with
anthro Dragons, so I assumed they do exsist in some
stories.

I am sure it wouldn't be possible to consider all
creature variations we could conjure up.
