ive been using a mouse for years (but i dont find it easy)
what have you been using in your experience
and which did you find the easiest or with the best result?

I use a pencil for drawing, but I do prefer 3D modeling (problem is, that takes along time to get it detailed)

You forgot to add Graphics tablets (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graphics_tablet) which is what I use for 2D drawing and 3D sculpting, painting, etc.
As far as I'm concerned, there is simply no better method / tool for drawing, writing, and painting on a computer.

I sometimes use paper and pencil, but most of the time I use a computer and a graphics tablet.
It's a lot easier, at least for me :) You should get one Lilith; it might be easier :D

Mouse, Papper pincle at times, graphics tablet, scanner. Lot of things. Different tools for different things.

I put tablet, for most of my furry art I do now.
I still do drawn stuff on paper, but am usually too lazy to scan it in, and I do 3D modeling with a mouse.
Pixel art I do with combined mouse & tablet.

in my ipod touch is a graphix tablet then i voted the right thing, if not then i use an ipod touch
pencil and colored pencil+paper

I use a graphics tablet, but I far prefer traditional materials, oil pastels would be my favourite to use and I'm quite handy with pen sketches.

how much would you average the price for?

I’d say you need about $250 for a decent graphics tablet, but there are many cheaper ones, especially if you don’t mind getting a refurbished graphics tablet.

I use an Adesso CyberTablet 12000, about five years old now and it still works great, though I have heard horror stories from some other people,
It cost about $200 back then, and I managed to hit a sale so I got mine for $150.

I use traditional pencil/paper then scan them in and make fixes to them on the computer. I would like to try a tablet

I dont really believe I've developed a favorite method yet. I like the pencil and scan method for the effect it gives, but use paint.net and mouse for the serious stuff. My goal is to find a medium that works and learn to use it to its maximum potential.

Pencil and paper (and pen) primarily. I find it easiest because I can clip the paper to my clipboard and then rotate it any way I need to. That way it's more comfortable and I can lean over it if I need to. It's kinda hard to lean over a computer screen to get a different angle.
When I do digital art, I use a mouse because that's all I've got. A tablet (graphics tablet, not like an iPad tablet) would make things easier (at least that's my hypothesis), but I don't have one nor plans to buy one any time soon.
But usually the extent of my digital editing is just to tweak the color balance/contrast/gamma levels and re-size/crop the image.
