Drawing Elusive
« on: January 27, 2013, 04:17:57 am »
Been thinking about how I wanted my Fursona to look like for a while now and I'm finally making an attempt at fully developing Elusive. At the moment having some issues with getting his face to look right, to me it looks like the left side of his face might be a bit too far to the right for this perspective, what do you think? I also want to try and give him a sort of short ruffled (head) hair style, I've tried several things but they never seem to turn out the way I had in mind. Also does he look more like a fox or wolf at this point? Any and all critique, tips/info will be greatly appreciated.

I would say a fox with the large ears, and somewhat pointed muzzle.

One other thing a foxes muzzle is somewhat triangular. So you might
widen the base a bit. Say the left side a bit more to the left as one
looks at it. Don't move the eye much if any, it should be a bit narrower
allowing for perspective.

Hope that helps. :orbunny:

Made a few adjustments since the last one. Tried making the neck a little thicker but starting to think I over did it. The eye on your left might still need to be a bit narrower. I think when trying to make his muzzle a bit more triangular and widening the base like Old Rabbit suggested I made it a bit squarer. What do you think?

Sorry I didn't notice your post sooner.

It looks pretty good.  The big thing I notice yet is there
is too much cheek and ear showing on the
characters right side.

Due to the 3/4 view you shouldn't see much
of the cheek ruff on it's right side. Or much
to the right of it's right eye.

If you look at the ears, they could both be shifted
to the characters left a bit. At least it's right ear.

Not to worry, I still tend to show too much face on
the far side of a characters head if I am not careful. (:

Hope that helps. :orbunny:

Sorry I didn't notice your post sooner.

No worries been rather busy lately with school and haven't checked the site for about 2 weeks I think.

I actually looked at that site a long time ago, actually forgot about it since that time, I should go review it again (:.
