On a cold winter's day, what non-alcoholic hot beverages do you like to drink to help warm you up?

Tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Which one depends on how caffine-sensitive my stomach is that day.

Coffee...must have coffee...give me coffee... (as I drag myself across the floor toward the coffee maker)

Two cups in the morning will usually satisfy my coffee craving for the day. On chilly days, though, I find myself making a third cup in the afternoon. Or, if I'm out running errands on a cold, damp day and there's a Starbucks nearby, I'll stop in for a mocha.

I prefer hot chocolate.

I've only had coffee once at school after my band's winter concert. It didn't taste great, and it left me very jittery for the next two periods (:

Hot chocolate (with mini marshmallows) for me. :)  Though sometimes I will drink hot cider, but rarely.

A long time ago, my mother gave me 3 small cartons of something called Aspen Mulling Spices. The carton I have looks like the following, but it may go by other names or the carton may look differently in the store.

My mother used to make hot apple cider and also a hot orange juice flavored beverage with these spices during cold winter days or when the family was sick. If you can find the spice in the stores, I suggest you try it. It really makes cider and other beverages really delicious. :)

I eat ice cream when it's cold out.  Then i wonder why i'm so damn cold all that time.

If hot chocolate is available, i suppose that'd be my first choice.

Something hot is always good when you feel the chill of winter in your bones.

I usually have some coffee.. But it's good anytime. :orbunny:

I picked coffee because it's the closest choice to cappuccino. Huge mug of decaf home brewed.

I drink hot chocolate in the summer, eat ice cream from a cone outside (during winter) (the following I only did once) without a sweater at ten below freezing (not celcius, I'm not that cold-resistant!) and am relatively fine. I rarely drink coffee and enjoy a good, hot noodle soup when it is far too cold outside. The coldest it's ever been near me was 1 degree farenheight. That's COLD!! I draw the temp lines between 27-40, 51-65, 70, 75, 80-84, 90. The hottest it's ever been near my (outside in the summer) was 114 degrees. Hotter it gets, usually the hotter my drinks and the colder it gets, the more ice-cream I eat!

You can never go wrong with hot chocolate, but I won't say no to warm bilberry soup either... I believe that's what it is called. That said, milk is good all year round, even if it is cold.

Tea, hot chocolate, and cider! I like anything that isn't coffee, basically.

Black coffee!!!  Or hot chocolate is really good for snowy days!  I usually have tea in the morning, otherwise I lose my voice throughout the school day (sure the kids wouldn't mind that some days  :D ).

Hot Chocolate--paws down. Inexpensive, easy to make, and quite portable.  I'll add a dab of marshmallow fluff, or a large marshmallow for an added treat. It is the only hot beverage I drink regularly.

I used to be a huge fan of hot chocolate, but lately I have found it a bit too sweet most of the time. So I have started erring towards drier ciders and hot tea (with a tiny bit of local honey - flavor and immunity boost for the win!).

I also used to drink a LOT of coffee. Then a few years ago it started seriously hurting my stomach each time I had any. I can stomach a small amount now and then lately, but even then only decaf. Maybe the caffeine is the problem? Or something else? I honestly am not sure. But either way, I tend to avoid any more than a tiny bit of coffee now.
