My furriness is really starting to take over!!
Was at the hospital yesterday with my son (he's ok, just his 6 month test) and my x, and in front of a crowded waitingroom, decided to show off my ears and strutted around like I ownes the place to the delight of about 3 dozen childern and their moms and a bunch of nurses! I really caused quite a scene-- it was tremendous fun!

I can hold it back when I want to/need to, but most of the time, as most others have said, it's simply who I am. I've always woofed and growled and rocked back and forth when my tail's wagging. I usually don't notice it. Heh... come to think of it, the other day a collegue walked into my office and skritched my head to get my attention (I was wearing my headphones with my back to the door)... I know for certain I let out a murr before I realized what I was doing. Fun times.

As far as my friends go, we're all geeks of some stripe. We comment on how funny it is to watch a "scientific show" like CSI and point out how there's no way that they just did whatever procedure in a minute when it takes at least 2 days. *shrugs* I have a feeling that if I said: "You know, I really think I'm a dog trapped in a human body" that they would probably put milkbones on my birthday cake and go with it.

I'd like to be more openly furry. I don't know if I'm afraid to or what... I mean, much as I'd like to do something like wear a tail/ears, I don't know that I could bring myself to do so. I'd eventually get comfortable doing it, I think, but that first step... Eyaaaaa... I can feel my phantom ears laying flat at the thought of it. I'm very much a social cripple... and it tends to depress me.

Hehe, I'm the same way. But I'm wearing a tail to school for Halloween! Perhaps if you find an excuse like that, it'll make it easier to take the plunge?

I voted slightly furry, I can hold it alll back, I just don't always want to...

Not as much as I'd like to be, I know that. Once I get around to making a tail or something, I'll be more outwardly furry. But I do want to be more...

HAhahaha!!
I was caught on the news in Orlando yesterday...

They were doing a traffic report and focused in on the traffic jam and there I was on my bike, with my Tiger Ears on my helmet, in traffic, shaking my ears flirtatiously at a pretty Blonde in a car next to me...

HAhahaha!

I can hold most of it in but once in a while a growl or a howl might slip out and if I had a tail and or ears I think no one would mind it cuz they know that I at times act like a dragon or a wolf, now if only 1 person saw it & they did mind then it wouldn't bother me But if Every one did mind then I would keep my ears & tail aroun my home.

To be a Furry or Not to B a FURRY that is a true question to ask? TO ask is simply saying yes I'm a rel furry hear me: ROAR, HOWL, GROWL, MEOW, WOOF, PURR, etc. To b not a furry is simply sayin I'm not a furry but I like to: meow, purr, snarl, growl, woof, purr, roar, etc. at times just to see how it feels. I don't go around telling everyone that I am a furry, I mostly can hold it back, but if the topic comes up, i'll chip in my two cents, because for some odd reason people don't understand what being a furry means, we are very misunderstood, and you can only answer the same questions so many times to so many people until you don't really want people to know any longer.

same here.  however, I do show minute signs.  I'm attempting to keep claws (some broke earlier this week  '' ) and I scratch ppl with them as an attack (I'm a lousy fighter without them).  I've started putting a large fox pawprint on my left front paw that I apply with a marker.  I also growl and snarl and such when upset (teehee, makes for quite the show to a lot of ppl).  once I do finally pick up the courage to tell my parents, though, I plan to get a tail and ears and a collar, the works, and be as outwardly furry as I can.

Meh, I could care less what people think, so I don't try to hide anything.  I don't go around saying "by the way, I'm furry" because I don't think anyone would really care, but my job here (I'm at work right now) is to answer people's questions so they'll come up to my desk and either see me browsing this forum or my blatantly furry desktop -- Dizzy the Purple Cat -- wait you gotta see this:

http://dizzy.mountainkitty.com/images/DizBGName.jpg

(I was thrilled when I found that one)

I think I do this purposely; it's just my personality.  I act kind of nutty, too, I guess I growl and stuff but I never really noticed it until I started reading these bbs's -- I always thought it was just....  normal '<img'>

A few people saw the board here and kind of got startled a bit but didn't say anyhting.  The person behind me might be furry, anyway, and this girl who works here might be, too (however I've hinted at it I've never gotten an answer -- I mentioned FWA to the girl and she laughed)

At home I'll walk around with my tails someimes, but I get home really late so I'm usually too tired.  My roomates have seen me in my fursuit....

Oh, well....  That's about it for me.  I don't normally bring it up in a conversation, though....

not alot of people i know even seem to know what furry is yet if you say any sentence in which you either make a yiffing sound or use the term yiff referint to it in a nonular sense they know that it is often used to refer to sexualy explicit art featuring anthros yet they dont know what anthros are nor any related words oh well fools.

I don't wear ears or a tail or a collar (not yet, anyway '<img'> ), but when I get super-cheesed I growl and snarl ("Mrrrr!" and "Rrrrr!").  Somethimes while going up narrow/steep staircases, I use my hands too.  If someone says "Bite me", I do.  Or try, at least...my friends run pretty fast '<img'> And I love stalking up behind my guy friends and pouncing on them (wheee!  Piggybacks!'<img'>

But no one says anything other than "Oddness".

The only people that know of my furriness are those of you on this forum.  I'm way to shy to do anything in public, or tell people I meet.   I've also never met another furry before.

':p' It sucks having to live like this hiding furryness, even from parents and friends, cuz no one likes us.

1 other person knows, and my ex-gf knows I draw anthros, but she has no idea about the fandom.

I voted "very mildly", because how easily can a human (agh! I AM human!  '' ) act like a snake, you know? Though I have been practicing my hisses...

Not very outwardly furry at all, though I've started to notice that unintentionally sometimes I'll emit a whimper or squeak lately. Heheh I dunno why. My shyness and lack of verbal expression in certain situations has developed into that somehow.

Huh?  ''

I have a flyer for FWA hanging up here in work that says FURRY WEEKEND ATLANTA in big bold letters and noone has even mentioned it.  Well, except for this one kid who was like "what is that" and I said it was like an art convention.  I also wear my tails around a lot when I'm at home near my apartment....

I don't think most people know about it, let alone not like it....
