WS was suggesting making it thicker too. I think I will go ahead and try WS's other suggestion and if it works out I will post it.

Thanks.

I look forward to seeing how it looks.  What was it that WS suggested to you?

I like that shirt you designed.  That's something I've wanted to do.  Design it myself, and then print it on to like a plain white shirt, so I'd have a unique shirt.  Someone told me that if could design something on the computer, I could print it out onto some special sort of paper, which irons on to fabric.  But they also said it doesn't last long, like with putting it through the wash, etc.
DC2. etc...

WS suggested I print out a copy of the original colored pic and try working with the grass on there and then if I like the results, to do it on the original. I am taking a break tonight though!

I did the design and the club had it put on shirts that were sold to club members and whom ever was interested. I was really surprised all those shirts sold!

I have put a logo on a pocket-T but it was only a black and white sketch that I used an Iron-On paper that you put in your printer to print out your 'pic' then iron it onto your material. The logo is still on the pocket-T which is now 6 years old and it has gone through many washes.

I also printed out colored fish pics onto the Iron-On paper and ironed them onto material. Those, if they are not ironed on just right, yes, you will lose the print. '<img'> but, if done right, gentle washing and drying, they should last a spell.

It is the cheap way to go that I used. You definitely get what you pay for so if you go the cheap way don't expect the artwork to remain on the material for ages to come.

I like the improvement to your stalking cheetah, Kada. It added more depth to the cheetah's face as well and brought it out of the paper a little more. The markers did make a nice, overall, improvement.

I agree with WS and Drakonian that the grass could use some thickening. It seems imbalanced next to the more detailed subject. Although, there is a focusing technique some folks use where they detail the subject then blurr the surroundings to draw the eyes towards the subject instead. If you don't want to thicken the grass, is there a way to blurr those sharp green lines instead? Make them unfocused and it might look good.  '<img'>

I will have to think on that one. That is a good idea though, Sumarra.

Hmm, it sounds like you've not had too much of a bad experience with the iron-on paper.  So as long as I make sure I iron it on well, and wash it carefully, the print should last?  May I ask you - do you put clothes with this iron-on picture thing in the washing machine with everything else, or do you have to wash it separate?  I'm guessing the latter, myself.

Yes, the print should last as long as you follow the Iron-on instructions. Also remember, not every iron is the same so you will want to test a pic on a small piece of scrap material to see if you need to leave the YOUR iron on longer or less time.

I washed them with the regular wash.

The only thing I can really suggest is if you want to try something like this, purchase a package of the iron-on stuff and try it on some scrap material first. Then wash it alone to see if it fades so it doesn't ruin any of your other clothing.

That's a good idea that I wouldn't have thought of - doing a test piece first, before going ahead with a whole shirt.  And a regular wash is alright?  Great - that's less effort for me ]B=8)

Well, you do have to wash your test material to find out how well it will hold up. Then go from there. Like with fish keeping, art of any sort is still a lot of experimentation. So enjoy!
