My panel suggestion was accepted and is on the schedule for my "local" furcon. Hope Uncle Kage isn't telling stories in Main Events at that time.

Same location as last year and a Jurassic Park theme, so expect lots of inflatable dinos roaming about. Get there early as parking is a scarce commodity. The Pipsqueakery returns as the con charity.

Chipped in for the group "Super Bowl" chili luncheon at work. Event was moved back a week due to a vendor presentation, then moved back another day due to a training day. I was not informed of the second move and unaware that chili was available until I was eating my own lunch. Returned from assignments at 1215, also hoping to get some chili, but it was put away. A huge pot that I couldn't possibly move or access to ladle a few scoops without help. So having a "Lunchable" now.

My new computer is in! Just have to go pick it up. Got advice on how to set it up without WiFi. Looking forward to seeing what's new! And finally get into my email.

Plasma lamp? Is that like a lava lamp?

No, completely different. The Lava Lamp is filled with water and some sort of wax. Heated from below with a light bulb, the wax melts and rises and falls in globules. The Plasma lamp is a globe with low pressure gas and a high voltage electrode. It makes streamers that respond to touch.
