Kale didnt get the text messgae until he had got off the net, he'd spent a good half hour trawling for others who had been changed, but had found none, finally he set out on his way again, finally checking his texts and replying

good to hear, We should meet in a few days if all goes well,

He finished sending the text before noticing that he was being watched, a man, somehitng vaugley familiar about his face. The man shouted "nice fursuit" and waved.

Dark read the text.
"I hope so too"
As he walked he kept feeling as if someone, or something was watching him. Several times he thought he actually saw something but each time when he looked again it was gone.
He was really beginning to get worried...

It had been a couple of days since the text, he had recived an im from an unknown source, he had replied, giving his phone number as his laptop was out of battery due to too much gaming. He reconed he was closing on dark, and the feelings of bieng followed were slowly increasing, and he was still wondering where vulpino had gone. He sighed and decided to phone dark to see how he was doing...

Dark was weary in answering the call, he was so on edge after after the past couple of days worth of travel. He was constantly on edge. He was now certain he was being watched which also meant he was getting little in the way of sleep.

"Kale? You ok?"

It had been several days of travel on foot. I managed to be able to get to the sea port of Portland. It wasn't that much warmer there, but it was something. I managed to find some food to feast on. Some how instinct had clicked in and I was able to find what was ediable, and what wasn't. Thankfully.

I had been able to travel down along the coast, leaving behind me myths of sea side monsters, and tracks that rivel those of Lockness.

As much as I had gathered thus far I managed to speed along into massatchusets. Though unfortunatly, that ment I'd be passing by boston, and that I'd have to move away from the coast for a small while. This was going to get worse I figured, since the further south I go the larger chances I'll have of running into cities, and sea side resorts. I expect security, and survalience to be high in those areas, and I couldn't possibly evade capture if I were to go through those areas.

So with reluctence I headed back inland and continued my way south.

Kale smiled "yeah, im ok, my dad phoned yesterday, he's trying to arrange some accomodation in the countryside, he owns a couple of farms that he rents out and one of them has a cottage, it would be good to stop for a while and try and forget about whatevers following me..."

Kale smiled "I'll see you then..." There was a strange noise behind him, he turned, breifly seeing a figure shrouded in darkness, it dissapeared immideatly, perhaps a vision of some sort he thought, hed seen figures like this in dreams, shadows sneaking up on humans, and then blackness. "and be quick... I have a felling things are gonna get bad"

Dark was going to ask what was wrong but he thought better of it.

I found myself lurking in a small town in North Carolina. It was growing in night time. I managed to get to an internet kiosk and steal a look at my e-mail. I found one from my father, and several others from junk sources. I opened the one from my father, and it had a phone number and the name of Kale.

I burned it into memory, before running off very quickly. Finding some change in my pocket, I was able to get to a pay phone. Though I paused. I didn't know how to make international calls. That was going to be... hard. I looked through the phone book on the shelf under the phone, and found something. Using the information I tapped at the buttons, then waited for a long pause of silence as the phone connected with the english phone matrix. Then I heard the familar rings.

I probubly have to head in your direction. By the sounds of there's more of you over there, then there is over here. Though I've only been to the English Isles only once, and that was very younge. I don't remember much, so I'll probubly need guidence to where ever it is you are."

Kale was closing on the village and could see the farm house he was headed for, even as phone battery began to go dead

"I'll find my way there. Take care. I'll call in three days. Hopefully you'll have a recharge by then."

I hung up the reciever of the pay phone quickly. Taking a deep breath, I opened the door to the booth, and scurried out, heading into the darkness.

No one's going to let me in as a fursuiter. Americans are too paranoid. Anyways, my movements are too real to ever be considered a suit. I'd have the military on my tail. I shook my head as I contemplated this fact. Then an Idea.... as silly as it was, popped into my head.

better then nothing.

I think i have an idea" Against all physical probabilty, he had met someone who was drunk enough to mistake him for a partygoer, from what he had gathered, the drunk had been to a party in which it was common to bring some fireworks and set them off. He had thought that a firework would come in handy and had taken steps to 'aquire one. He took the rocket out of his bag and prepared to light the fuse "Im about to light a firework, if you can see it, then move towards it"
He lit it and ran to a safe distance

Kale smiled "I'll wait for ya, be here soon!" He was beginning to feel a little uneasy... where was vulpino for one thing. He had an idea that he was ok and doing something really nessacary to whatever cause they were going to be fighting for, because face it, things like this dont happen unless something is about to go very very wrong...
