Furry con ideas?
« on: November 18, 2015, 07:23:59 pm »
My friend from school emailed me this week about going to a furry convention over the summer. The two he suggested are Minnesota Furry Migration (MNFM), or Anthrocon. I'd really like to do that, and the idea sounds super cool, but there are some problems with both of these. MNFM is a perfect location and I know the hotel well. It's close to home and we can stay in a room if we really want to. BUT we're all minors over 13 but under 18, and it's come to my understanding that they have a rule about minors being accompanied. I suppose if we really needed to, we could get parents to come, but I doubt my dad would want to pay to follow me around all weekend. The big, glaring problem with Anthrocon is, of course, that it's in Pennsylvania. We'd have to travel a long way, and once again, my dad would say no. I feel like that's a larger endeavour, would cost more money, and be a silly thing to ask my parents, but being able to meet some fursuiters I've seen online would really be worth it. So, my question is, anyone have any ideas for a con I could attend in the Twin Cities area? If all else fails, I could always just go to my normal yearly con in a fursuit. X3

Thanks for the references, looks like MNFM is the only one in Minnesota, but Fur Squared in Wisconsin or Midwest FurFest in Illinois are possible options. I'll look into the websites and consult with my friends and sister to see what they think!

I've heard MFF is really good from those that have gone. In fact, I'm going myself this year. My first Furry Con in the 12 years I've been a member here!
