Just a simple poll to see what others have for their Thanksgiving meal and/or how they fix it. :)

Most of those but my dad happened to shoot a deer in season (Yes with tags and license) were having a deer neck roast(Neck roast has a seasoning rub on it to give it that kick of flavor) and some vinson from it, should be pretty good it's one of the best we've had in all the years of hunting we're bringing it to my grandma's to have with rest of our family.Happy Thanksgiving :)

My extended family usually rotates thanksgiving around from household to household each year, but this year my family is hosting it.  As a result, I'm going to spend tomorrow cooking, which sounds like a headache, but I'm actually super excited because I don't get to cook anything beside microwave ramen while I'm at school.

We already have all the traditional stuff ready (turkey, mashed potatoes, etc), so me and my siblings will probably be adding pasta salad (my personal favourite), pie(s) of some sort, and maybe some sausage/beef & cheese pasties or empanadas.  I would also like to make chocolate cookies, but there probably isn't time. This year I'm heading to my sister in law's family for thanksgiving,so Ill be having whatever they have. Before last year Iv always worked on this day since I was 17, or was too busy finishing essays and other collage stuff. Personally I prefer honey ham to turkey, though If I wanted to be historically accurate I would go with Venison. Usually my only contribution to these sorts of events and gatherings is a bottle of wine, which I would previously forward as a absentee courtesy when I was working.
