Author Topic: Does your fursona hate going to the vet? (Read 3039 times)

It's pretty much a given that our real life selves don't like going to the doctor for one reason or another for various issues.
And when it comes to our pets, they tend to "whine, whimper, bark, hiss, run and hide, etc." whenever they have to go to the vet.

But what about our fursonas? Are our fursonas pretty content to go to the vet to get check ups and so forth? Or do our fursonas still do the same things that our RL selves or pets do and they loathe going to the vet?

I think he'd be rather indifferent, more tolerating it and putting up with the visits than anything. I think he'd just try to rush it and get it over with and move on rather than worry about the inevitability. Not that he'd like it, quite the opposite but what can he really do?

Interesting question. Seeing as I don't really enjoy going to the doctor myself, i would imagine Bronx not particularly enjoying it either. Basically, doctors tell you how to live life better and give shots.. I almost never actually have a problem when I go for checkups.

I hate going to the doctor, so natually Pastel probably would be very fond of going to the vet.

He'd probably hate it. I dunno for sure though. I could ask Parker, but he's a character in a book, so I'll have to see what his reaction is by writing up a vet for him to visit.

Loc's a triple amputee. I think she's long ago comes to terms with going to the doctors. Doesn't phase her any more.

Moongaze hates the vet. She gets anxious scheduling visits, dislikes the constant glare of the fluorescent lights, and especially dislikes the cold examination rooms. It's almost always a waste of time, resulting in yet another shot in the arm or probing questions about her personal life.

Iara lives in an alternate timeframe--the Cretaceous period, according to humans--and so lives in a world that is vet free.

Being an intelligent creature I would imagine he would handle the idea
well. Of course like most of us i doubt if he would like shots.

I hate going to the doctor quite a bit, so I my fursona also would. There's just nothing fun about being poked, prodded, and stuck with needles for an hour

I generally don't mind going to the doctor. It's just something you have to do sometimes. My fursona, being me, would treat it the same way.

Usually it take a good shot with a tranquilizer gun to get Acton to see a doc.

Finally got a flu shot last Winter but hesitated for weeks on account of what happened when vaccinated for Swine Flu in the 70s.

Not at all. Because of his divine lineage and power, people actually come to him if they need healing beyond when the clerics can provide, or if he is in the heat of a battle and must heal his allies. He knows the importance of preventative medicine.

Robot dogs wouldn't go to a vet. They'd go to a repair shop. And since pain sensors can be turned off in areas where work was being done there's be no reason to be anxious or aggressive.

I guess he wouldn't mind, but he still dosent enjoy needles and surgery.
