I'm relatively new to furry, and I just don't know where to start. I don't know much about the community, so I feel awkward joining in any conversations. So where should I start?

I tend to avoid what I call "the big 3" because they tend to get ugly.

1. Politics
2. Religion
3. Sexuality

But that's my own personal rule for myself.

I'd suggest The main forums, the word games forum, and the MLP forum for ya.

There's also an irc chat option if you want something more fast paced.

Yeah, but sometimes there's that one person in the crowd that has something negative or untruthful to say about someone else's or about the lgbt community in general, so I tend to avoid that kind of discussion, it's tiring.
