on the main page of the forum there is a silver paw print for no new posts and a gold one of topics with new posts, but I am on a laptop and it is hard to tell the difference. would it be possible to make the gold paws golder?

Does your laptop have Brightness and Contrast controls to change the color? If so, try using those functions first to see if the paw prints will look better for you.

I've got a very nice display on my system(s), and to be honest, brighter paws wouldn't hurt. '<img'>

The paws are very easy to tell apart on my computer. Sadly i understand how some of you may not have computers with such bright screens.

Mm, it's not so much a matter of being able to tell. On my screen, I can very easily see the difference.. But it doesn't stand out quiiite as much as it could. Ah but what do I are, I just use the "New Posts" search.... '<img'> **runs off before I start sounding [more] stupid**

Well, I did some quick adjustments in photoshop.

Before:

After:

Is that better? Is it enough of a difference that way?

I can see the second set much more clearly.

The only problem I found is that in greyscale the "silver" ones look like they are the ones that are selected. But even there the "after" ones are easier to tell apart. (besides, who still uses greyscale?)

So now it's up to those in charge if they want to implement them or not.

I must bring this up again, because it's really still an issue. I'm going to work on the paws a little, make a few different designs for the new post one, and see what you think.

SerFox: The paw symbols that Furtopia uses are quite fine the way they are. As the old saying goes: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

This topic had been brough up numerous times. We won't be able to please everyone by doing every little thing they ask. Furtopia's colors and set up for it's forum has been this way for a long time and it has served us well. We have no reason to change it now.
