Cleaning up the Community boards..

So I know that the boards on the community section aren't used too often, but maybe they just need to be set up in an easier way.

Very often we see people posting threads in other forums saying "are there any furs near this location?".  Normally, they are directed towards the fur finder thread and website, which is pretty awesome, but it does not encourage chatter between local communities.

The community boards are set up in a strange way... some states have their own board (Mass and PA), some sections have their own board (such as midwest, southeast).

What about changing the community board to include broader by still centralized areas?

Such as:

Midwest Furs
Southeast Furs
Northeast Furs
Southwest Furs
Northwest Furs
South Mid West Furs (I dunno what the southern middle of the US is called!'>
England Furs
Australian Furs
European Furs
etc etc.

I think it would be nice to point, for instance, an australian looking to find furtopians from australia to a specific board.   I actually utilized this board to find a local fur near me so it helped ME out.  Not everyone registers on the find a fur pages '>

Anyways, just a suggestion.. might be a lot of work but I think it could be helpful and make Furtopia a better place to find friends!

Yeah, That sounds like a good idea. Now if only there were an alternative to those drop-down lists. I think thsoe are what drive people away.

Personally, I think that each state should have its own community page. Whether or not it's used is irrelevant... at least it's there.

I will bring this up in the staff forums and see what everybody thinks.

...Oklahoma? Arkansas? Louisiana? There's no way I'd call any of those "southeast."
